It seems that the funeral of Prince Philip will be next Saturday at 3PM.

League games will be changing their kick-off times....waiting for new KO times.

Coming to the dreg end of the season now.....and we are on 52pts...and should be okay.

Looking at our five remaining games suggests to me that 52pts might be all we will get.

1.....Burton away....there form has dramatically improved over the last two months.

2.....Charlton at home....they're on the fringes of the play-offs and have an excellent away record.

3.....Oxford away.....another form team (hit 6 away yesterday).

4.....Sunderland at home....strong play-off spot at present in third place...I cannot see us beating them twice....they've only lost one away game.

5.....Gillingham away.....often end up as our last away game and we've crashed badly there in recent seasons.

    PS.....On the 5th of May 2018...we lost 5-2 at Gillingham...Eaves scored a hat-trick.

Yesterday Eaves came on as a very late substitute for Hull....it shows the strength of their bench.

I was thinking the same thing Plym. That's as hard a run in as you can get and if the last couple of games are anything to go by, we'll be lucky to get anything from them.

We aren't playing that badly going forward but none of the three strikers are at their best. At the back, we're just throwing it away with silly mistakes spread across numerous players and whilst we do that we'll always be on the back foot.

The Burton game on Saturday 17th will now be at 1230 pm....moved because of the funeral at 3pm of Prince Philip.

Last game of the season at Gillingham has been moved to Sunday 8th May at 1200pm (all final day games will be the same in Div1).

Still reading articles about Luke Jephcott being of interest to Championship clubs.....and now we're being told that Argyle have put a price tag of £5 Million on him....because they do not want to lose him....so a big fee will be required to prise him away from Home Park......and of course Jephcott has now gone 15 games without the hint of scoring a goal.

I heard that Argyle Academy won 4-0 at Exeter Academy recently....but I cannot find on the PAFC website even the result...let alone a match report.

Some of the Big Lottery members don't sound to happy....the club takes their money every month....but doesn't inform Lottery members what's happening with the young players that they are supporting.

And the significance of that is? Should I be worried or something. We are not going down, we are not going down, we are not going down...........now you say it.

Just an observation. Are you ever positive about anything? Just a question like which I think is still allowed.

Firstly I haven't actually had my second jab yet. I can't even be bothered to talk about Brexit anymore apart from if you think this is going well then you are blind, deaf as well as daft. Which thing is actually going well? Boris and his Government cronies are now embroiled in contracts for friends and families. If you think that is ok well no further comment. Ok the roll out so far of the jab is doing the job. So, that's one thing. "Getting more things right than wrong" what exactly are these "right things"? I've named one so you can add the whole host of other things if you can think of any. Boris Johnson is the biggest joke of a PM this country has seen in almost it's entire history. He is a buffoon. He has now put India on the red list. Weeks after it should have been there and guess what, the rules do not apply until the end of this week. That's a full four days away. How many cases will enter the Country in that time? If it's important to stop entry then it is important now not later. I'd hate to see him as a firefighter. By the time he rolled the hose out the house would be gutted. He dithers and dodges just about everything. I would not follow him over the top from the trenches that's for sure.

It seems that Argyle's two penalties means that we are joint second lowest.....and we're also second joint lowest with only eight goals scored from set pieces.

Not sure this will work without a Twitter account but it made my eyes moisten in a very manly way of course, all the more so because it was retweeted by our leader, Ryan Lowe. It's the sort of thing he likes and that's why we like him. And it's that David Frio doing the commentary I think. Just the 152,000 views so far.

Perhaps it'll pop up on the Club website or YouTube later on.

There's a lot of speculation that following the Super League fiasco, ownership rules may be introduced similar to those that apply in Germany. I believe this usually called the "50% + 1" system meaning no single shareholder can have unilateral control.

That would bugger up our current arrangement in which Simon Hallett has put so much equity in that he has the powers of an absolute dictator but has used them benignly.

Ironically, if he'd put money in as loans, he wouldn't necessarily have overall equity control and so would pass the "50% +1" test, but the club would be at risk if he withdrew his loans, which he can't do with equity.

This seems to be a rule with more danger for already well run clubs than there is benefit. Especially in the lower leagues there may be just too few investors to populate such structures.
