Noticed a lot of clubs have produced their accounts. Guess ours will be out soon. Finances would have taken a hit with the relegation and COVID. Promotion is good at any time but probably be even more important now.
Munoz and Sierralta nominated for monthly awards Think I would prefer the Norwich manager to win it, we can save our manager for manager of the season
Quina signed too late (on loan for Granada) to be included in the Europa League squad so he was not eligible to play.
There appears to be some confusion on the EFL website about whether Muñoz's manager of the month award is for the month of January or for March. The error (relating to the heading and sub-heading of the announcement) has still not been corrected after 12 hours.
The award is for March, but the information on the EFL site is shown under the heading: 'January Manager & Player of the Month winners' and the sub-heading is 'The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Manager and Player of the Month Awards for January are as follows:'. The error has not yet been corrected (at the time of writing), which appears to be rather careless and does not show the EFL in a very good light. https://www.efl.com/news/2021/april/march-manager--player-of-the-month-winners/
Really? Ok, just a bit surprised that he took interviews this week that suggested he expected to play.
GT won it a few times without a disaster following The last time it really affected was when Florres and Igahlo won manager and player of the month and almost derailed our season
"Unfortunately for Quina, he is ineligible for the games against United having joined Granada on loan from Watford until the end of the season. He said: 'I'm not going to lie, I am little bit disappointed. I like playing in the big occasions, against the big teams, in the big stadiums. 'I'd learn a lot because United are a top team with world class footballers - it will be a great experience for my team mates. 'But I'll be there supporting them. Granada is like a family, it doesn't matter (if I'm not playing) the team always comes first.'" (Daily Mail, 8 April)
Wonder if we will see kick off times moved next week from 3pm as that is when Prince Phillip’s funeral is ?
Seems that Manager of the Month being a disaster is not always true. I would be happy for him to get it again for April.
Yes did see that. Probably just done out of respect but as someone said elsewhere will shops ,cafes and parks be closed too as then people will be having to work as normal if not ?
I don't wish to be callous as he was my favourite Royal but I am doing something next Saturday afternoon which I can't get out of so I was going to miss the game but now there is a chance I will be able to watch it at a rearranged time!
25 minutes in and it's 1-1 in the FA Youth Cup match at Newcastle. Will Hall equalised after Newcastle took a 7th minute lead. Not a bad match so far either...
