3 points is 3 points, but we were bloody awful. So many passes going astray especially from TAA and Widj. Luckily we were only playing Villa, any side with any ambition about them would have easily beaten us today.

Cant see chelsea team like that losing to that palace team. 0-0 is the best outcome imo.

The good thing is palace should be nicely rested and ready to go so let's see what chelsea.have in the tank after a handy gimme qf midweek.

Whatever results come this weekend the 3 points sets us up for some good news.

No way is the Palace Chelsea going to end in anything but an easy win for Chelsea .

 

Woeful performance especially Trent and hope he doesn't think the goal gets him absolved from the **** he served up.At times he looks like he can't be arsed passing the ball properly and just swings at it.

Can only assume the players are mentally fatigued because the passing last few games has been atrocious. Amount of times just played simple passes out of play. Given TAA smashed one in from 20 yards at the end can’t be physical. He wasn’t only one though Jota Fabinho and Robbo gave ball away a lot as well

 

I dunno.

I do feel that they need a long summer break and a session or three with sports psychologists in preseason. some of them are shot through.

There have been a lot of silly things and not taking responsibility as well that just points towards a mindset that is not really focused on winning anything.

Thiago just passing it on, wijnaldum not wanting the ball, giving to players marked up. All of the little things we see where that extras bit of urgency and intent stops.

I would dearly hope that just getting together in camp this summer will just get them more focused and fitter.

I feel like we've been playing catch up on fitness since the first lockdown. who knows.

when everyone is on it 100% and flying then the odd bad pass or poor decision is covered off and quickly righted. The fast ball forward than 70% of the time fails is not noticed.

If we smashed in 2 early today like chelsea had nobody would be calling it a bad performance.

 

The passing frustrates the hell out of me. If it's not a yard too far in front of them (and therefore giving possession away), it's behind them killing any potential momentum.

 

Overall, pretty underwhelming and since coming back from injury Alisson has been ****ing woeful. If Gini's head is at another club why is he playing? I'm made up we won but it was another shocking performance. We start well enough but then we drop away like watered down paint slopping off the walls. Every match is ****ing crap

 

Its the goal scoring, score a goal and the team takes off. Have 15 shots and no goals and the team starts to think its not going to happen.

We need to start taking more of our chances.

 

wasnt even a bad performance. Played well for most of the game up until final third. Created a few chances and spurned them. Then the goal right before HT plus disallowed goal really could have killed us but we came back won second half 2-0 so can’t complain.

 

OK, it was a C minus not an F, but overall the passing was poor. We kept giving the ball away and being unable to finish and conceding when we were actually better than they were qualifies being awful imo. Trent did one thing and fortunately that was to score. Bobby's goal should never have been disallowed, but it was. These constant misses keep costing us.
