Looks like Dack could be out for season as damaged knee last night. Sad for him as was having another terrific season Looks like won't be moving on anytime soon so no extra income for us. Hopefully him and Byrne make full recovery.
Just spotted this post (was away for the first 3 weeks of December) he played for us in the 57/8 season, which was my first season at priestfield. Can't remember much about seeing him though. RIP Ron.

That very match had a Gills feel about it. In the AFC Hornchurch side were ex Gills players Ollie Muldoon, Liam Nash (who scored the winner), Chris Dickson and Charlie Stimson. The runner up side Hereford were managed by none other than ex Gills defender Josh Gowling.

Ex Gills, Steve Bruce has been sacked by Newcastle today. Should be a nice little pay-off, time for him to put his feet up and look after himself.
The actual wording of the separation is that it's by 'mutual consent', which in my opinion is that a) SB is totally fed up with having, amongst other things, a c**p training ground, c**p player development facilities and a decomposing stadium, and taking all the flak from the supporters who seem to reason that's all his fault, and so was quite happy b) to take a smaller pay-off than what he would have got had he been sacked, but one that will keep him comfortable, and enable him to sleep at night. I think the next few months will show how much of a basket case is Newcastle United. Yes, if the new owners persevere they will get greater success, but I think it's going to be a longer project to get where they hope to be than they might have thought when they bought the club.
Dack on as 2nd half sub against Bristol City. I so hope he'll still be able to fulfil his potential. Feel so sorry for him missing out on possibly the best years of his career
