What is it with Nico De Boinville being obsessed with going up the inside on this horse? 2nd time he s got in to all sorts of traffic problems on this horse. He would have gone close...

Only Irish trained horse in the race wins.
    How obvious was that <doh>

Yes looked the likely winner.. if given a more sensible ride. Awful as you say.
Still no harm done each way at 8s with a bit of a profit...

In the Topham Chase I went with the Topweight Ibleo. The Williams chaser has improved about 3 stone over the past 15 months and last time out he looked ready for a step up in trip. Obviously he has a fair bit further to travel today as a son of Dick Turpin but I took a chance with that at 14/1 win only, as he either stays or fades out of the frame in my opinion. Two For Gold has a good strike rate but his jumping isn't always surefooted and I worry on that score.

    4.05 Aintree Ibleo 14/1

All the horses that did well at Cheltenham are doing well today - on the day that I decided to go for horses that didn’t run at Cheltenham <laugh>

In the last at Aintree (17:15) The Widdow Maker for no other reason than a personal one. This damn contraption used on a tender-supported jack-up drilling rig claimed many lives during offshore oil drilling operatons. First couple of times it was used scared the s**t out of most of us..

Anyway, hopefully one for the good Mr. Tizzard!

Well, even with the spelling mistake, didn't run badly until blowing-up. Man, Aintree is tough!

Wasn't to be smokey. I had a very busy day and didn't get much of a break to fart even, I picked a few out last night and 4 of them won there, I also got word that Mt. Leinster Gold was fancied to go close. One of them days, could have stayed at home and made a fair bit more, but then it often backfires too, I guess. Onwards and upwards.

PS. Lean Araig is a bit of a misspelling of Lean Ar Aghaidh, which means Proceed in English <ok>

Run was too bad to be true. Looked scared of the fences. Maybe it's fall in its previous race did a bit of a number on the horse
