There's always the potential to get torn apart by sides with the quality we're lining up against in the next three games, but we gave both manchester sides something to think about first time round. Not many sides outdo man city on possession and pass stats. The game at Elland road was a really strange one... we didn’t touch the ball for 20 minutes, then ran them ragged for the next hour before hanging on at the end. We will be one of the few sides this season that can claim to have deserved a win against them. https://www.infogol.net/en/matches/result/english-premier-league/leeds-vs-man-city-2020-10-03/70127 scum were worthy winners in the end but basically basically scored with every shot in the first half to give them the breathing space to kill us in the second when we chased the game. https://www.infogol.net/en/matches/result/english-premier-league/man-utd-vs-leeds-2020-12-20/70329
I think the next 3 games will show us where we really are this season. All 3 games we will go in as the underdog. I will treat them as a learning curve because these are the teams who will find our weaknesses. The Bookies expect us to get 0 Pts from these 3 games. Neutral Football Fans wouldn't probably argue on that. Us Leeds fans think different as any other fan of a club would. If we can take out one of them I'd be Happy (but pls let that one be Scum)
My view is Liverpool were lucky and Man City was fair, Man Utd was a game of 2 halves and we finished that game scaring them to death. I think we will take points from our next 3 games and all 3 are desperate for points more than us (Maybe not City). We now have a full squad available and I think we will play better, harder and with more confidence. Yes we could get battered by all 3 but .....
I had a horrible feeling about this game last week, fearing a bit of a dicking tbh especially the way they are playing. Trying to remember when the last time I had this feeling and I think it was in the CL against AC, we had a scratch team out and had just come off a 0-1 home defeat by newly promoted Ipswich, the rain was lashing down, so glad I was in the East Upper, and after a heroic display we beat them 1-0 from a Bowyer last minute goal that the goalie let squirm under his body, hopefully we'll get a similar outcome this time.
Pep: "We haven’t had one midweek off since we started, not even one. “There is no player who can sustain (this), not just physically but mentally to be ready every day to compete against opponents to win the game. It’s impossible". Guess he never watched Klich play 50ish games last season without a day off, eh?
Us v Manc. We're safe, so I'm realaxed & really don't care about the score. I just can't wait to watch 2 fantastic teams play each other, no matter the outcome.
Ale chilling. Leeds Utd, Leeds Rhinos and Aussie Boxer on TV, it's going to be a long day please log in to view this image
Ipswich finished 1-2, details are important! I was in the East lower, pretty much right next to the divide to the cheese wedge.
Don’t think so unless they’ve accepted giving up on their title hopes. Joleon Lescott giving Marcelo a bit of a dissing here the cheeky ****er.
