    I struggle with predicting results
    - just hoping that when we play our next midweek game (Wigan?) which is our game in hand over P/boro we do enough to go above them - not sure they’ll cope with chasing

I said promoted via playoffs the minute LJ walked in the door and I'm sticking by it.

I've always thought our draws against completely **** teams under Parkinson will catch up with us when push comes to shove as I think there will be more dropped points likely somewhere out of Charlton, Hull, Blackpool x2.

In my opinion we will pretty much know on 20th April where we are with 3 of the 4 hard games out the way and of course one being Hull.

Of course if Hull or Peterborough or both drop significant points that's a different story altogether. But I can't see Hull letting up now to be honest. They are in excellent form and their run in is relatively easy and they have got those 5 extra points on the board.

I think Peterborough are more difficult to predict as they had a really poor run which makes their form look ropey but have changed formation and are looking strong again but will that last???. Their run in looks tough on paper but their 'tough' games are against bang out of form teams like Lincoln (20th) and Doncaster (24th)

I think Hull will win league and its between us and Peterborough for 2nd.

i am pleased the majority had us down in the top two for automatic promotion, got in too late as there are loads with the same outcome. Nice to see our supporters coming together i envisage a pissed up wearside on the final day, and a baby boom 9 months later;)<yikes>

On other threads you're saying we'll lose twice to Blackpool and at home to Charlton ...

... on that basis your prediction here is impossible.

It's the twists and turns that makes it exciting ...

... this all feels different to our escape attempt under Ross.

During that our plan was to climb the fence and outrun the German guards ...

... this time we've dug a tunnel and have all the proper papers and disguises <laugh>

it's a queer old package this league one like smug...so many embarking on stand out runs then just falling away, it's like we are all playing 'rock, paper, scissors' to decide who goes up, nowt like that rubbish premier league where the title seems to be decided at xmas...

Have i missed something as that would mean Blackpool dropping 1 point from their remaining 9 games which is impossible..

I'm not doing a predictor as I think that there are many twists and turns to come. I think the two promoted sides will be the ones that hold there nerve. I honestly think that there will 1 or 2 defeats in there with all three of the clubs going for promotion (hopefully SAFC have only 0 or 1) :).

When I did it I got to 88 points, but I included draws against Charlton and Hull. So win on Saturday and that's 90 and we've made it!!! :1980_boogie_down:<cheers>

    Details, details....:emoticon-0100-smile

Seriously though, there is usually a random loss thrown in somewhere, but I think 90 will be enough. Maybe quite a few less of course.
