A couple of sloppy jumps, never really travelling with the leaders and beaten a long way from home.

Just watched the last GN and it struck me how well Magic of Light ran on at the end, having blundered at the Chair and at the last. He was then an 8yo. Now 10 he actually carries just 2lb more. 2lb! Also he would have been 2lb better off with TR this time. If he can avoid the blunders he must have a great chance at 25/1 (WH). Joins my short list of Cloth Cap, Santini and Blaklion

Why was HE allowed to run in the Mares Chase at Cheltenham?

Anyway, I hope the stewards were watching and had a quiet word.

    Best three preps since the weights were announced;
    Cloth Cap

    Sticking with:

Cloth Cap (at whatever odds he was when I picked him before the weights - no value at all now)

Magic of Light at 25/1 (earlier post - now best price 20/1)

    Blaklion 66/1

The Storyteller @ 20/1. Classy horse, plenty of weight but capable of being in amongst it at the business end.

Their top fancies Discorama and Minella Times.

Blaklion currently number 41 on the list and Secret Reprieve number 43 - they will be hoping a couple come out this week.

Ron will be having everything crossed for Blaklion..:emoticon-0100-smile will he be ready to roar come Saturday??

No point letting the heart rule the head in this race.
Cloth Cap has a good chance but his price is derisory.
I expect the in-form Acapella Bourgeois to make a bold bid from the front, and the tremendously versatile, classy stayer, The Storyteller bypassed the Cheltenham Gold Cup for this. He has a major chance.
However, hardly anyone is talking up the chances of a previous National winner (Scottish) who has also won the Rehearsal and Skybet Chases.
At twelve years old , he’s still relatively lightly raced, won’t mind good ground, and is in the form of his life.
Taking Risks , currently 40/1 is a confident each way bet - 5 places with William Hill.

To provide an extra interest I'm going to add in Discorama (25/1) , Any Second Now (10/1)and Secret Reprieve (16/1)

Hopefully at least one will "give me a run for my money"
