West Ham will have a pretty favourable run in: Leicester (H), Newcastle (A), Chelsea (H), Burnley (A), Everton (H), Brighton (A), WBA (A), Saints (H). Win today and they're in a really good spot to crack the top four.
So Noble takes out a Wolves player. Then smashes the ball away. And gets no punishment. That's Noble all over.
Part of me wants West Ham to get into the CL. They'll get thumped like Everton did by Villareal when they got into the CL qualifying rounds under Moyes.
West Ham looking good. Annoying. Nice to see that it's not just us that get bullied by Antonio though.
Yeah, my position is that, while I have no real love for West Ham (and even less for Moyes), I want them to make CL because it's an unalloyed good for the league if Leicester/West Ham are in the top four. But I'll also find it absolutely hilarious if they lose to Ferencvaros or something in the group stage. Win/win!
Fair play to Moyes. I honestly thought he was a terrible appointment for them, and seemed to be borne out at first, but he's done a brilliant job this season.
Tbf I don't think many people thought that was a good appointment, let alone work as well as it seems to be! They have done a lot lot better with their recruitment in recent windows too which obviously helps. IThey've been kinda like Everton whereby if you keep spunking money on players window after window, you'll eventually end up with some good ones.
Same. I have not thought too highly of Moyes, and I associate him with a fairly dour, tentative style of football. But handed a swashbuckling group of attacking players, he has allowed them to play to their strengths. West Ham still avoid possession the way I avoid getting set alight, but they counter aggressively and can be pretty easy on the eyes. Credit to him and to them.
