The problem is as Sunderland fans, we are so used to be letting let down, it is hard to get over excited.
Surely that is a massive advantage to them. Has a pitch not got to be to a certain standard ( by that I mean reasonable) and not crap like that? KLD needs to get his legal team onto this whereupon The Posh forfeit the game
I thought they were meant to be a footballing team so it cant be great for them either. If we have to skip midfield and go long ball we have Wyke, O'Brien and Stewart. We've got more good players to suit different tactics etc.
That pitch, if that photo is recent, looks diabolical. Hoof-ball with 3 big lads up front as well as some skill in the unclogged areas to pump the crosses in
The article was from 8th march they had a burst water main before xmas - Charlton and Hull were complaining it was not fit Hull managers take on it “They’re used to that pitch, they’ve been playing on it most of the season so it’s going to be a challenge for us.”
We are better than last season but know what you mean. Big test again. I think we are the best side now but know anything can happen. Fingers crossed.
High scoring game I reckon. My prediction we will win 3-2. Far more up for this and looking forward to it moreso than I was the tinpot!!!! This is a real match, with far more at stake and a better prize at the end if we eventually succeed HTL
Really hope this is wrong but this is what I've been told 442 tomorrow Burge, Power, O'nien, Sanderson, Mcfazdean, Leadbitter, Winchester, Jones, Mcgeady, Wyke, Stewart
You've had a bad feeling about our last three games, at least ... ... and think we've left our run too late, despite being 3 points off top with games in hand. You're worried about 'heartache in the play offs' and, no doubt, will be worried about out prospects in the Championship if we go up. You don't seem to get any enjoyment out of watching us, even when we win. 1 Hull 39 33 73 2 Peterborough 38 29 72 3 Sunderland 37 30 70 4 Lincoln City 37 15 62
I've become quite relaxed with selections, even though I'm not always in agreement. I believed he'd cut out the midfield and this looks like I may be right ... ... as usual our bench will have a big say. Whatever happens I don't think Johnson will use the pitch as an excuse, the players just have to get on with it.
I thought your source had left the building? You were always bang on at any rate. Team looks fine to me, seems like the thinking might be **** pitch so play it up/get crosses into the big lads up front and in Stewart's case he really is big. He looks a decent player.
Wouldn’t be surprised if that is the team, 2 big forwards, with the pitch potentially stopping us playing our stuff on the deck.
If that's the team, thats the starting line up, it won't be the finishing line up. No idea of the bench, but I would bet LJ already has his subs planned, barring enforced ones. Its something he really has got spot on.
Who would you have in place of Mcfadzen? If LJ doesn't start Hume, it's because he's not fully fit. Or would you play him anyway? And Winchester and Leadbitter in the middle makes sense if the pitch is as **** as its supposed to be ****.
Well his teams have been slagged off each week but if he had been here from the start of the season we would be out of site now So in LJ we trust If it’s not working he’ll change it
This. If the pitch is as bad as people are saying you wouldn't play someone coming back from a hamstring injury
