...and the match where we go above them.

Coming into March Peterborough were 10 points ahead of Sunderland and 'promoted' according to some.

They're now 2 points ahead, with an inferior goal difference and have played an extra game.

They've just lost to Blackpool, where they only had two attempts on goal, and only drew with Rochdale ...

... they conceded 3 goals in each game, which gives our team all of the encouragement that they need.

I'm not impressed tbh, and I'll be shocked if we lose there.

Looking forward to it. Time to forget all the 'but that's what Sunderland do' talk and go and batter them. Would take a draw but I'll go for 1-2 and happy days.

    It's all shyte mate.

Very few clubs win things, we just need to believe along with the club/players/managers.

Haway the Lads, Peterborough are just another L1 side we can beat.

I'll probably feel different leading up to kick off with the usual nerves but feeling very confident at the moment. If we keep defending well our quality up front especially on the wings is tremendous and can win us tight games on their own. Plus we do play alot better against the better teams

Yeah - I reckon they’ll be thinking as they are the home team they’ll be favourites.

However this will ramp up the pressure on them, and I think they might bottle it.

We’ve had a few pressure games lately and seem to be handling it really well. So for this reason I think we’ll win 1-3. Not only that, I genuinely think man for man we have the better team all over the pitch.

    Time to enter the TOP2.

    Sums up my feelings tbh.

In tight games I'd back our talent to create something.

They've lost twice the games we have.

Still not at our best either imo. Someone is going to get battered one of these days and it could be anyone

Personally I hope it's Hull we give a battering to, though I won't complain if it's Peterborough.

Having a fully fit Jones back is superb for us. I think with the attacking talent in our team we are going to score at least once and I am sure Johnson will have a game plan to keep their flair players in check.

Getting to the sharp end and I think a must not lose game.
However its live on Sky and I really fancy us to put in another performance like the Portsmouth game.
Would be great to make another statement of intent.
Only worry is the pitch to be honest. It looks a bit of a state

Just dont get beat. If we do that league table is not going to make pleasant viewing. Hull will beat Northampton so if we do get beat they will be six points ahead of us and Pboro five

Our biggest game for a long time

I'm confident going into every game now. If the pitch I rubbish I'm sure the boss with see what's what during the first 20 minutes and make the necessary adjustments. I do think Peterborough will assume with the pitch being rubbish that we will play the two big lads up top and play hoof ball. But knowing LJ, he'll still want to play a bit of football.

It won’t be an easy game but if we can be as focused as we have been over the last couple of months we should beat them. We don’t seem to panic in games even if we go behind, there’s a plan and we stick to it regardless and it comes good in the end.

Peterborough have spent 8 consecutive seasons in league 1, they’re always thereabouts at the end of the season but somehow bottle it when it matters. It’s that time for them again and they won’t relish us turning up in the form we’re in.

I predict a win but a similar game to Oxford, our calm heads will see us through.

If we play in the way we're capable of, there's no way we'll lose this game. Got a feeling that LJ may tinker with the starting line up slightly. Can see AOB starting

They have an excellent home record, we have an excellent away record.
They can score goals, but we don't concede many.
They concede a fair few, and we are more than capable of scoring a few.
I can see our defence coming out on top over their attack, and see our attack coming out on top over their defence.
Big game, no doubt about it....but so were lots of others, and we came through them, same as we will here.
3 -1 to the lads, and into the automatic spots.

Regardless of who LJ picks we have better players on the pitch and on the bench.
Our makeshift defence has been superb. Our choice for midfield players now is any 2/3 of 5 and our forward line is a massive threat to any team. A draw would suffice but I expect a win.

We'll be looking forward to this game ...

    ... Peterborough won't.

They're live on Sky in a poxy ground with a swamp of a pitch and a ropey record.

    We're Sunderland <party>

Posh are the closest side to where I live and a few locals I know aren’t as confident as the keyboard types...
They (and I) think we will score at least 2, they are hoping our defence has a bad day at the office. They back Clark-Harris to score 1 but are unsure where they get more from.
Personally we keep him quiet and we win - stick Sanderson close to him, leaves O9 in charge of the other defenders (a concern) but their defence should be unable to cope with our forward options...
    Here’s hoping anyway
