True, but he doesn't have to be on for 90 minutes. For me, Che and Redders must start to build on their recent form but for Danny and Theo it really depends what Ralph has seen in training. If they have been working well together it makes sense for them to be on the field at the same time. For me, we should go with Forster, KWP, Vesty, Bednarek, Bertrand, Jankewitz (or Armstrong), Diallo, Redders, Walcott, Ings, Adams. Subs McCarthy, Ramsay, Salisu, Armstrong, JWP (don't risk him), N'lundulu, Tella, Djenepo, Watts. Nice to have strong options from the bench for once!
bring him on for last half an hour, then give him an hour the next week and then 90. That “builds” fitness, rather than forces it. When the body tires, injuries happen.
Better the other way round I think, we'll see when the team's announced Sunday. I'll go with Ralph's selection.
My my, Statto. And then went on to win the European Cup for two years, and narrowly beating Saints in the LC final in 79 after a two goal head start ( before it was shown live on TV)
Question to all of you. I watched England Vs Poland, as JWP was not playing, I could not help myself supporting Bedders, does that make me a bad person?
We had a better player who hardly ever got selected in midfield in the 80's. I know you will know the player. Always pissed me off big time
Last time I managed to be first to a "Matchday!" we played Manchester United. Which went well. So I won't. Vin
That did piss me off as did the one in the 90s. Not picking the one in the 90s probably cost us tournament wins as we lost on pens in two tournaments he should have gone too. Now a days I see the flip side more. Good point though TossSaints as in the past I did have some angst over it.
