Apparently there were some fisticuffs in the tunnel at half time in the Sunderland game, from the local rag...

Karl Robinson clearly incensed at what he feels was a half-time attack on the Oxford goalkeeper in the tunnel. Has suggested there will now be police involvement. Strongly suspect we've not heard the last of this.

Well credit were credit is due .. reading the writings on here suggested we played like a bag of shyte but when ya come away with 3 points .. having gone a goal down .. while.playing crap .. you know you're in with a shout of going up. Really important 3 points too given the other results so keeps our noses out front especially given the game on Monday where something has to give with Posh and the Mackems .. bit worried that performances have fallen off since we had all week to prepare for games .. but I'll take 3 points and a crap performance every time at this stage of the season .. C'mon City .. let's go up as champions

Maradona was left footed. Good job McCann didn't have him.

Agreed. And I believe it would be best if Sunderland win it. We have to play them and therefore have some possible influence on them dropping three points too, plus Peterborough's last 5 game are the toughest of the 3 front runners.
A squeeze on the Southerner's is the best route to an automatic spot for us?

A purist would say he should have crossed the ball first time with two teammates already in the 6 yard box. What the hell !

Just before he layed it off to Wilks I was screaming for Docherty to shoot - shows what I know!

Going by the shadows and lack of keeper reaction i think the sun was in his eyes and he never saw it coming.

So, the conversation went; me - come on McCann, you toss pot, Whyte on, Wilkes should be off, he’s selfish, not playing for team, couldn’t fight his way out of a fish & chip wrapper. If you don’t want to take him off at least try & switch Wilkes and KLP over, see if KLP can get the better of their left back....

Well, that told me. Humble pie eaten. Credit where due, massive 3 points. In all honesty, thought Crewe looked good, deserving of something out of it, but, dog eat dog. Ingram was very much on his game today. Brilliant result, onwards and upwards. UTT.

True, but 2 of our men unmarked centrally in front of their keeper.

Wilks is unplayable at times. You could see interest in him from other clubs **cough** Burnley **cough**

His layoff drew 2 of their defenders towards Wilks, hence freeing two of our attackers.
IMO Wilks should have crossed immediately to our lads near the pen spot. As you say, me too, what do I know? All's well that ends well. :emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0168-drink

I thought he looked useless today, but he justified staying on. Good player to have.

Thought it was a really enjoyable nervy game, frustrated with our forward line, all three could have done a lot more, midfielders battled and ran but not at the top of their games, however we battled and after going 1 down it was so important heads didn’t drop, we came back and got that goal back which was vital going into the last quarter. From then on in fact right through the game it could have gone either way but get it Wilks to win it. Credit to him for scoring but if I was the manager I would be grabbing hold of him and letting him know I want another 20/30 % from him because he could make the difference. Overall Crewe were a very decent home team so to take 3 points off them especially so late was a massive bonus and with others winning it was vital we won it.
