Flat is not my subject at all (maybe not jumps either) but something to spend the afternoon on. Let's see if I have the same luck as today. I doubt it, but it's all right to try.

    Lingfield
    15,10 Exalted Angel 6/1
    15,45 Apollo One 4/1

    This is the one AW card that I can excuse anyone having an interest in. Through the card;
    Ranch Hand
    Indie Angel
    Aberama Gold
    Apollo One
    Bangkok
    Intuitive
    Young Fire

The last named I took 33/1 about earlier and got a little excited when I saw all the blue across oddschecker, then I realised the RP had tipped it.

I know someone else that really likes him.
It’s a fascinating race and I was analysing it to death last night. Lord Riddiford and Highland Dress will surely dispute from low draws while the favourite from his awful draw looks set to get stuck wide. Summerghand finds trouble on a straight six and Lingfield is renowned for hard luck stories. My finish has Venturous and Aberama Gold pouncing late having been able to sit very handy just off a very strong pace.

A couple of Good Friday fancies at Lingfield:

2.00 Amtiyaz has a fair bit to find on official ratings but is clearly still progressing and posted a good time when winning at Kempton last time out.

4.45 Mums Tipple did it very easily at Wolverhampton last time and looked like he would get the mile trip alright.

    Good luck everyone <cheers>

No bet for me today. Am looking forward to watching though. Competitive looking races with a fair few tight finishes likely. Not great for punters, hence my no bet stance but this is the sort of racing i enjoy. I have still had an attempt at the Lingfield card just for ****s and giggles:

    2:00 - Rainbow Dreamer
    2:35 - Indie Angel
    3:10 - Venturous & Tone The Barone
    3:45 - Dilligent Harry
    4:15 - Forest Of Dean
    4:45 - Mums Tipple
    5:15 - Revolutionise

Stuart Williams could be in for a good day. Has the two above (Tone & Revolutionise) and 3 at Chelmsford.

Good luck those with actual money down.

Morning all - not really my bag this all weather stuff but at least being finals day it raises interest.

Lingfield 3.45pm Water of Leith 33/1 each way. Transferred from Jim Goldie to Rebecca Menzies he showed some promise last season. This race is likely to be run at some clip which will help this fella and he could run very well at a decent price.

Lingfield 4.45pm Silver Quartz 12/1 each way 4 places. He seems rejuvenated since he has joined the Graffard yard and French entries traditionally do well at this meeting. He clearly likes the surface and with Hollie Doyle on board who rides Lingfield well I feel he has a very good chance in this.

    Good luck all! :emoticon-0167-beer:

A mug's double for me today.

Diligent Harry should have more progress to come and holds a good chance in the 3.45 Lingfield.

The sprint is competitive but I felt Harry's Bar held claims despite a high draw. Not sure why he was tried at a mile last time and back at 6F and at a track where is 2/2 it was hoped that he could go close in a very open affair.

    3.10 Lingfield Harry's Bar 13/2
    3.45 Lingfield Diligent Harry 7/4

    Small stakes double.

Agree, Smokey, a real Good Friday bunch of puzzle races on the synthetic tracks. Looked at a few and just could not figure them out at all, shame on me! One I hummed and hawed about was in the 16:30 at Newcastle, in which I thought the Ivan Furtado-trained Starter For Ten had a bit of a squeak? Will be ridden by the competent Northern jockey, Tony Hamilton. 8-1 readily available at time of writing. However, like many of the other races today, open and tricky. The very best of luck to all having a bet today! <cheers>

I was going to have a virtual bet on Bangkok but a few things put me off, given his price.

His form with Forest of Dean is close and when he did beat Forest of Dean here he had Moore on board. Today he has de Sousa on board, who doesn't have a very good record on him (2 wins in 11). Forest of Dean has some very fast times on the turf which, if he matched today, would make him difficult to beat. That maybe a big IF of course. Forest of Dean also has a change of rider and I don't know if that is a plus or minus. Whilst Bankok will probably win, I don't see him as an odds on shot, so will leave the race alone

Something you don't want to hear - "no one has ever won this race from stall 1" - when your dosh is on the stall 1 occupant <doh>

Come on Aberama - make history!

The pilot tried to come across on Harry's Bar but ended up shuffled back to last. He had an impossible position with 2F to go but finished well to finish 6th not beaten that far. There will be other days for him.

Summerghand is a good old sort and probably deserved to get his head in front today. A victim of his own consistency in Handicap races he sits on a mark that makes life tricky for him but his 10 wins and 18 places are a credit to him.

Without wishing to be controversial, it is nice to hear Clive Cox talking without a rag on his face.

The races being covered up at Newcastle by ITV are dire.

Not sure why ITV felt the need to include this meeting..why not just focus on Lingfield - the finals day and just promote that?
