Best memories of strike partnerships I ever had were with Quinn and Phillips and Marco and Gatesy. Yes Bent and Defoe scored memorable goals but for me they never really got close to those other memories. I don't think it was just because of the goals they scored but because of the whole feeling of the goals. Like after the playoff semi against the mags, I wasn't worried about getting a result up there because we had a good away record that year but the set up with Quinn and Phillips was the best I ever witnessed. My favorite game was the one against Chelsea the first year in the Premier. They had real class all over the park and the first 45 minutes we seriously played them off the park - they couldn't touch us. And with a certain Lord Rowell, to score a hat-trick against your local rivals and at their place deserves recognition - he did something that everyone of us would love to do, I wouldn't mind a statue of the penalty outside the SOL somewhere :emoticon-0100-smile

Anyone who doesn't choose the only Englishman to ever win the European Golden Boot needs a check-up

How about those players on the list who played pre 1967/68 Season (When The Golden Shoe was first awarded) and like two of my three scored more goals for SAFC than SuperKev?

Like the man with the wooden leg said, it's a matter of --- <laugh>
