Rodrigo sets the record straight

Leeds record signing Rodrigo has hit back over claims that he is ready to quit Elland Road in the Summer. The 30yo took to Instagram last night to refute claims by Spanish outlet Fichajes, that he was upset being played out of position, as well as lack of game time.

Spain's No 9 wrote: “I’m not a person to comment on nonsense stories, however in this case I want to make it clear that stories about me wanting to leave Leeds and a bad relationship with Marcelo are false.

“I am very sorry that some people try to misinform our fans – my feelings are the opposite. “I am happy, focused and working hard to help my teammates to end this great season in the best possible way. I love being at Leeds United, I respect my coach and I identify with this club. “Come on Leeds.”

Leeds part with 7m towards agents fee's between 2020-21

In the last calendar year, Leeds have parted with £7m towards agents fee's. The incoming transfers of Raphinha, Rodrigo, Robin Koch, Joe Gelhardt, Helder Costa & Illan Meslier was responsible for the lions share.

Fees were also paid to intermediaries for new contracts for Jamie Shackleton, Ryan Edmondson, Niall Huggins, Alfie McCalmont & Pascal Struijk. Also included is an updated registration for Patrick Bamford!

A total of £272,220,223 was spent by top flight clubs on agents fees. Chelsea £35m + , Man City c. £30m, Man Utd almost £30m, Liverpool £21.6m spent the most whilst West Brom, Burnley, Palace & Sheff Utd all spent less than Leeds.

All we needed was for Rodrigo to come out and deny the reports, he has done that now so I look forward to him being a far better player next season. I guess it will be between himself and Roberts next season, that leaves Bielsa and Orta concentrating on a LB and CM anything else then would be a bonus

Great Newcastle post and probably the best headline of their season

Think this weekend will define our season a draw gets us 40 points but we’re already safe. This weekend could be the first time this season Marcelo has choices to make as he really could have a fully fit squad available for the first time. Remember when we were all waiting for the first game of the season and wondered who would play where out of all the new players etc. We’ve had to wait until the end of the season to see it

So Phillips was the outfield player who played the most minutes for England this international break. Leaving the whole but is he good enough debate do you think if he played for one of the traditional "big 6" he would have played as much?

Can you imagine the reaction from, lets say, Mourhino if Kane had played the most minutes?

Is it a case of Southgate has found a player he trusts or just a case of someone he can rely on without a whingy arse manager crying about their precious players?

 

Stats cant lie and it was obvious that when Phillips went off in the previous match England didn't get into the opposition half anywhere near as much when Phillips was on the field. Phillips was used in the Rice role, he was used in partnership with Rice further forward which didn't work and with Phillips further forward which did work. Phillips is deffo on the plane

 

Paddy has said he is fit and raring to go again. He said he could hardly walk when he came off in the last game and he got to have Sunday off but went in Monday to see the physio and when he was passed as ok to resume training he thought he would be doing a few drills to ease back in, but no thrown straight back into Murderball

Think Klich will have served his quarantine period as its been almost 2 weeks now, and the stupid thing is that he says he has had covid a year ago, so crazy that he tests positive, then tests negative then positive again. If you’ve had it you cant bet it again

 

I think he is more than on the plane. All the pundits and experts say that Henderson is a shoe in for that position but I have my doubts.

1- there is a big chance he wont be fit.

B- even if fit in time for the tournament he has played nowhere near as much football this season as normal where as Phillips as played nearly a full season.

3- To me it is evident that Southgate trusts Phillips and the way he is setting England up is made for Rice and Phillips to play together.

Yeovil Town FC have announced that Captain Lee Collins has died aged just 32.

The club confirmed that he passed away on Wednesday in a statement on their website.

"All at Yeovil Town Football Club are mourning the loss of club captain Lee Collins," it read.

"Lee sadly passed away yesterday and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

"We ask everyone to respect the family's privacy at this time.

 

If Bielsa can turn him in to a midfilder then he will do fine. But he came to us leading the line for Spain and i expected a goal scorer. So we payed a fortune and i hope bielsa can do a Dallas with him.
