Finding 5 people who'd want to be in the same country as me would be difficult ... ... the same garden would be impossible
This is your time to shine mate, people will mingle with any old rabble for a couple months. Novelty.
Desperate for a round but my dads busy his wrist and first game back gotta be with him. Clumsy awld goat.
He’s about 3 weeks off. I can handle that. Can take a 9 iron to a field and clean out some passes by in the meantime now though.
Just had a look at Oxford's league position and it's clear they won't go up automatically but are in the play-off mix, with over a dozen clubs. So you'd expect they'll give it a go on Friday, a draw wouldn't help them much imo. 1 Hull 38 21 7 10 32 70 2 Peterborough 37 21 6 10 28 69 3 Sunderland 36 18 13 5 28 67 4 Lincoln City 37 18 8 11 15 62 5 Portsmouth 36 17 7 12 14 58 6 Blackpool 35 16 9 10 12 57 7 Doncaster 35 17 6 12 8 57 8 Oxford Utd 37 16 8 13 8 56 9 Charlton 37 15 11 11 4 56 10 Gillingham 38 16 7 15 4 55 11 Ipswich 36 16 7 13 2 55 12 MK Dons 38 15 9 14 3 54 13 Accrington 36 15 8 13 -2 53 14 Crewe 36 14 9 13 -2 51 15 Fleetwood 37 13 11 13 9 50 16 Plymouth 38 13 10 15 -11 49
fair assessment Smug, if they come at us then they play into our hands, it's teams that sit in tend to make us struggle more, time will tell.
I think Oxford are a better side than 3 of the 4 directly above them, only Donny I think are about level. They’ve got a little bit of pace on the break, and are physical in a good way, but they shouldn’t h e enough as long as we do our jobs.
Yeah, teams are running out of games. Gillingham play tonight and could go into the play offs but they will have played 4 more games than some other teams.
Looking at the table it's a time for bravery and some teams will play out of their skin, some will bottle it ... ... there's going to be some crazy games and results imo. Whatever happens we need to keep our nerve and I think we will. We've hammered a few teams but not been heavily beaten. Even at Crewe we were run ragged and still came back with an away point.
I agree. I watched the game against Lincoln and was impressed how they came back after going behind to an early goal. The defense wasn't great but they showed a lot of energy, closing down Lincoln all over the pitch and looked dangerous going forward. They had a left winger, Barker (on loan from Rangers) who liked to run at people then cut in. However, the 2 who really impressed were the number 10, called Sykes, who tried to run the show and te number 9, called Taylor, who won a lot of balls in the air but was very mobile, often arriving in the box late. Hopefully we will raise our game and if we do then we should have enough.
