I wish there was a pitch n putt locally. I always enjoyed playing this on holiday with my grandfather.

 

Didn't there used to be some putting greens in Charlton Park?

Only have a vague memory of those. They must have disappeared before the athletics track.

 

Get well soon, Mrs Plumb. Hip replacements seem to be very successful these days, after the initial discomfort.

 

I think they were closed after milllllll went there one year and used the putters as weapons.

I use to use the one near Queen Mary’s hospital Sidcup or the putting course down the pleasants at Well Hall

 

She has got one. She also phoned me on the house phone this morning when I didn't react to the bell.

 

That is where you come in handy mate

 

If she does I will know it's deliberate

If they have stopped the kneeling I will watch it, all being well

 

The kneeling has become a bit passé.

 

It means nothing any more.

 

It didn't mean much after the first week.

 

I’ll be taking the knee on the 12th April , when I’ll be asking permission to go for an alfresco pint

We’re tough down here mate - shorts on March till November- not as aard as posties and scaffolders though

 

There are a couple of 9-hole courses here if you want to make a day of it when you come down. Proper courses, not pitch and putt. Good for the heart and work up a thirst before watching a game.
