How bad is Gooch btw? The sooner Jones is back the better. He’d be one of the first ones out of the door in the summer if it was down to me.

He’s certainly inconsistent typical scoring the winning goal at Wembley he’ll earn cult status despite at the very best being average

With his mazy runs he causes defenders big problems, and chips in with timely goals.

This league is so unpredictable, its a large part of its attraction, nobody can be certain about anything until after the end result. Its a mixture of emotion and mayhem, a bit like Shane Patrick Lysaght MacGowan. <laugh>

would not go as far as 'bad' the lad is inconsistent but players of his type usually are, they are not afraid to try a run at defenders or try a shot from distance, the opposition cannot set their stall out to contain him as they never know what he is likely to do...this season he has not added as many goals but he has 'popped up' with some vital goals and assists along the way, although i will add that jones seems a more accomplished player, was no coincidence that one of our better performances in recent weeks came with him in the side.

Gooch, like Maguire, is a very frustrating player, for entirely different reasons both can be either brilliant, or more usually imo a handicap, if anyone can get the best out of them it will be LJ., and I guess if he cant, they will soon find themselves out of the door.

He has been very poor this season. Jones takes his place the second he is fit

We now have the possibility of going top if we win the next game. Unlikely (goal difference of 4) but still possible.

Also, many of the sides we’ve played do seem to up their game against us.
Rovers looked ok at times yesterday.
The thing is, I think they put too much in to these games because they usually go on to have a bad run after playing us.
Maybe they put so much effort in they are knackered for the following few weeks.
Stanlington Accry we’re going well until they played us.

If Peterborough put in a big shift against us they might win or draw but I think they will suffer in the following games.

I still think Peterboroughs last 4/5 games will see them drop out the top two. We have discovered this valuable knack of winning whilst not playing well. Full credit to the manager he has done a superb job since coming here

Any team that 'raises it's game' only when it suits them deserves to go down imo.

I don't feel sorry for them at all.
