Plus those 2-3 months were when LJ was getting to know the players with limited options to see them in training. He’s seen Benji over those same 2-3 months plus another month and not felt ready to throw him in...
Dovers results are to be expunged from this season so wonder how that's going to effect the top six once the points are deducted.
But now Benji gets to play proper football and we can recall him if we need him. I’m completely failing to see the downside here. Maybe he’ll fall in love with the Devon coast and want to relocate down there but I can’t see it.
A standard that will make him a man.....& realise the level or lower he will be playing at unless he gets his head down & puts enough graft in....Asoro's career should be enough for any kid to realise where it will go if you beleive the ****e agents tell you & dont graft enough
It’s a nice coastline, but it’s nee better than ours! And,any footy down there falls well short in passion comparison!!
Whenever I've seen him play for the stiffs I'd say this loan is the correct option and should have happened a year or two ago. He needs to play proper footy.
He’s nowhere near our first team, games might get him towards it. I doubt he’d get games even if they both took a knock, more likely use Gooch.
It looks like Sutton have got the National League 'sewn up' and I'd be happy if Kimpi scored a few to help Torquay to secure the second promotion place ahead of Hartlepool. I don't like Torquay because of Helen Chamberlain using 'Soccer AM' to openly voice her hatred of Exeter City, but I want Kimpi to prove himself with them before he returns to Sunderland to fulfil his potential with us
Exactly, plenty of options. We only play one out and out striker a lot of the time, we've got Wyke, Stewart, Gooch, Maguire, AOB all as options.
We've been very poor in managing where we send our kids in the past. We always end up with a load of 22/23 year olds who've never been out on loan anywhere and haven't developed enough for the first team. A proper development strategy should be a priority.
Good move, nothing replaces regular competitive games. Hope he comes back fitter, stronger and sharper. No down side to this.
He literally brought him on as a sub in his first league game in charge, and he played the full 90 in the next three...
