Had the first one last Saturday with no after affects. The Moderna one. Due second 17th April. Probably get nailed on that one..lol
Me and Mrs Smug had our first 'Oxford' yesterday and have the second on 28th May ... ... our corner of France has a high take up so we were pleased to get in so quickly.
I watched it again. This is a ''finish and fill '' plant. They have the capability to finish and fill 120.000 per hour --- but as you say, they can only do what they are supplied with, and the manufacture, supply etc of raw materials is more time consuming .
Silly boy... think of others Surely you do want to be classed in the same camp as Corbyn's brother... Or scared of needless? A mate of mine, big strong lad, fearsome fast bowler in his time...faints at the sight of a needle... had to lie down with blindfolded to get his jab!
Jean Claude Junker absolutely slated VDL for the vaccine supply **** up and the EU politicians for their response, saying that cooperation is what is required. Its the old story of the no blame technical approach to get it fixed asap, then figure out how not to make the same mistake again versus the politicians whose first thoughts are avoid responsibility and find someone to blame.
So far so good for me, i have no side effects at all yet. She did mention that good looking lads aren't effected by it so thatll be it
Think of others ? If everyone who wants it has it then I or them don't need to worry you silly boy Needles don't bother me But again, it's down to personal choices.
Had the AZ about 4 weeks ago was ok for about 3 days and then felt tired for a couple of days but nothing major. I musn't be as handsom as you then Lad in my street had the same vacine in the morning was absolutely knackered that night started shivering could not get warm then at about 3 in the morning was fine again
I had my first injection on tuesday. I got the jab in my left arm and as soon as I had it I got a pain in my right arm in exactly the same place as the injection went into my left arm. I mentioned it to one of the nurses incase it was a blood clot or something. She just looked at me as if I was daft and said she had never heard of that before. Strange.
Had my first yesterday morning and was the same as the lad in your street. Started feeling rough around 9, paracetamol at 11 and by 3 seemed ok. Ok this morning as well. One weird thing for me was couldnt sleep till about 4. Not like me I can sleep standing up normally. Feel ok this morning mind.
Like I say it's personal choice. I've had covid, not that it has a major bearing on me not wanting the vaccine. I don't have a flu jab either It's interesting there's been no flu cases for a year https://www.independent.co.uk/news/health/flu-cases-covid-england-phe-latest-b1805124.html
What is saving VDLs job atm, is if she resigned/was sacked, it would be admitting the EU ballsed up vaccine procurement/production/distribution and that UK got it right. They would rather blame the UK and Astra Zeneca...for their cock-up. France's attempt at a vaccine failed(?), and Germany, the USA and the UK succeeded. This inflamed Macron and even his mummy/wife cannot soothe the irate toddler. I just checked in January the prestigious Pasteur Research body, announced they were abandoning their attempt to produce a vaccine. This was viewed as a national humiliation.
Hmm, there are about 40 odd of us play seniors golf together in a little competition twice a week. The captain knowing we have one or two oddballs, has said those without a jab cannot play with others, unless those others are happy to take the risk. One if the oddballs thinks Covid 19 is all a hoax and doesn't really exists... likewise he argues of billions of people and the pollution that engenders is not affecting the planet, quality of life ecosystem etc. I suspect that when all adults have had a chance to be vaccinated, a 'passport' will be needed to go to the pub, on a plane or work in certain jobs. But I agree nobody should be forced to have a vaccination, but similarly nobody should be forced to associate with those that refuse the vaccination.
I am beginning to think that this constant criticism of the AZ vaccine has a lot to do with the fact that it is sold at cost, which big pharma does not like. I know that the company has made mistakes and there is a lot of EU politically motivated criticism, but the other vaccines have had perceived problems, including blood clots, that were found to be nothing to do with the vaccine with very little press coverage.
If I was the FD of AZ I would be furious and at the next board meeting would propose to double the charge for Europeans for the vaccine.
