That is correct. Nowhere near enough. He’s quality this lad - Wolves would be mad to sell permanently IMO.

I doubt that's right but let's hope that is all they want.

It would be an amazing coup if we were to pull this off. My gut feel is that, as much as he enjoys it here, he wants to prove himself at Wolves.
This is almost a Borini situation. Maybe another year's loan is the best bet all round and see where we are in May 2022

People like myself and @Makemstine Roger have realised his potential from the start, even when he had his doubters. It’s great to see he’s finally proved people wrong and it would be class if he’s here for another season.

i remember you shouting for Jones to be played as well, and his first game when he came on in the second half he scored one of the best goals i've seen from Sunderland and showed passion and determination to win the ball a chip over the goalie messi would be proud of , and from one of the most acute angles ive ever seen.Whilst there are a few of your comments some people would find it difficult to agree with. I can see you are a true fan, who is not afraid of speaking his mind whether it be controversial or not, and who has the ability to call some shots as you see them, even against my judgment that has had the whole board agreeing with you.

    Spot on.

If we take him on loan again next season and he proves himself in the championship, then he'd be worth 10 - 12 million

As I think he'd do a good job in the championship, then I'd be happy if we spent 5 million on him and agree to a sell on clause (which wolves would insist on anyway, if they sell at all).

I genuinely can't recall anyone "doubting" him. If anything, there were posts on here calling for him to start, and wondering what he had to do to get a start. There were posts questioning why we bothered getting him in on loan, but again, that was more to do with him not getting game time, not questioning his ability.
I cant see who he has "proved wrong", as you put it.

not wishing to get into a he said she said type of thing mate but the first to say play him was Wolfy, i knew because i agree with him,he did have dissenters saying settled defence and can't break up a winning defence. i won't name names as its water under the bridge, and i would rather not go there, but when Sandy finally got his chance at this standard he is one of the best and will grow as we do, I can see him going all the way to PL standard like Jones and these are the type of players we need if we are serious about rapid improvement. On a personal note I would like to thank you for the great contributions you have added to this board since joining, you and a lot of others who came over have made significant improvements here and i thank you all long may it continue.

Thanks for that mate. A few people won’t admit it, but I’ve called as many right as I have wrong, but doesn’t suit their agenda though. I’m just pleased the likes of Sando and Jones are now getting the recognition they deserve because that’s all I ever wanted. No one is disagreeing with me about them now :emoticon-0148-yes:

Lets not get carried away here yes Sanderson has played well and has certain physical attributes that help him defensively. However he is also capable of switching off and getting caught out, this should improve if he plays along side Bailey Wright for the remainder of the season as he will listen and learn a lot.
For balance consider when we signed Jonny Evans, similar age, maybe not quite the same physical attributes as Sanderson but good enough. What stood him apart was his ability to read the game and organise other defenders around him. Anyone that could make Nyron look like a good defender deserves praise in my book.
Sanderson is a good player, at this level, and has potential to improve and to play for us for a number of years. For the fee mentioned would certainly be worth a punt but he's not the messiah and as far as I know he's not a very naughty boy :emoticon-0100-smile

For the record I would sign him.

Willis is the one. The one in a formerly typical 1-1 scoreline. I hope we sign the right one.

I remember when you criticised Willis for being at fault. I watched him more closely and he does get caught under the flight of the ball a lot for a central defender. Especially near the end of a game when the ball is getting lofted into the area.

Looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights at times.

We are much better at defending set pieces now both Willis and Flanagan out of the starting line up has helped in this respect, all teams had to do was block BW and we were wide open against crosses. Wyke cleared more than those two put together.
