I've maintained either don't go and complain or go and don't complain.. It's the ones that go and boo I don't understand.. Booing xisco on his debut was the final straw for me with those arseholes.
I don’t understand why they do it but if that’s what they want to do who am I to get in the way of their match day entertainment. My Mrs and I sit next to a couple of Irish guys at Man Utd who spend the whole match slagging off players, the performance, the management and then leave about 20mins before the end. When we asked them why they always left early they said they had to catch the ferry from Holyhead back to Ireland! So they come all the way from Ireland every other weekend to moan for 70minutes.
It's totally the opposite of support... The idea is you go and support the club and the team. I found it too much to bare and the bloke behind me was always calling Ameobi a lazy black **** at the top of his voice along with his mate. I understand the fans are unhappy, but they shoot themselves in the foot with all the booing and constant protests... If you want to protest you just don't ****ing go.
Ultimately the whole situation is just so desperately frustrating and infuriating, lashing out seems impossible to avoid. I hate things I just don't understand. I also hate that nothing seems to change. The hopelessness is beyond absurd, it's utter madness. So apologies for the "holier than thou" post, everyone is entitled to do what they see fit (though we all agree, paying to go to a game, then moaning, is mental).
I'm his mate and unfortunately Mike will never sack me unless we're not in the promotion places next season with nine games to go. It's easy for the outsiders (fans) to complain and start up with the histrionics, but, they're not loyal anymore like myself. They think they should be in the champions league every year.
Chron are doing a survey and going to try and bombard the club with messages. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steve-bruce-issue-send-message-20230590 I'm also signed up to a call about the ownership with the Trust next week.
"We've also offered a space to send a message to the Newcastle hierarchy." Why waste time and effort writing a message? It's gonna be completely ignored and if the last 14 years have taught us anything it's that he clearly doesn't give a **** what the fans think.
The rumour about the players approaching Charnley - It is true. Almiron, Ritchie, Gayle, Carroll, Schar, Lascelles, both Longstaffs, Darlow, Dubravka and Manquillo.
Unsurprised by any of that, particularly the brothers and the strikers. Dubs as well looks mightily ****ed off with it all. I think the Brighton defeat was an attempt to get him out, as many pundits said. But as you said above, Mike doesn't work like that. And the more they kick off, the more he'll dig his heels in. I expect his chopper to head to Newcastle whenever he bothers to come back into the country, at which point he'll remind the players who pays his wages and to do as they're told. A tactic that - like all of his other tactics - will have the opposite effect.
It is very telling. Clark is admitting that the players are unmotivated. Clearest indication of unrest.
Bruce lost the dressing room along time ago, but it's been kept under wraps until Craig hope exposed it. Bruce is happy to live in a world of lies rather than lose what's been a personal problem between him, the fans and now half the players. The players on his side are simply the payers he picks no matter what.
Ashley will get rid of anyone that starts to complain.. If they start making demands he will make a mental note to get rid of them to the worst moves he can get them.
That's why our captain won't do out, because like Bruce he's way out his depth and doesn't belong in the Premier League
