Leon Osman on MOTD was saying we could realistically lose every game right up to the last 2 games.

    He has a point.

Does that mean we won't lose the last 2?

    We probably will

Ie still being on 28 as with only 2 games remaining.

By that point it probably won't matter how well we do in the last 2 games.

Mike ashley is impressed with Bruce's passion for the job.

    Players thought he was gone

    Hmmmmmmm

I've come to the conclusion that Steve Bruce got down on his knees and begged to keep his job this morning.... He's definitely the type.. He's that type of guy.

Look unfortunately the media left it until it was too late and have started pretending they're your friends now.

We've been doing things my way and unfortunately I've now destroyed your club like I destroyed your friends over the water.

Unfortunately It had to be done!!! I couldn't have the Saudis coming in and threatening the real Uniteds position.

The one thing I've always said is I won't walk away and next season in particular I'll finish the club off for the good.

Let's accept it! roll up your sleeves! Let's try to enjoy it if we possibly can.

Ashley is a "nice bloke" to those who've known him, Bruce is a "nice bloke" by the same token. They're two peas in a pod and for whatever reason are completely checked out to the fate of the club. Bruce wants a pay-out, under the bollocks he spouts - and who would blame him? He's ****ing useless, isn't getting another job and needs his nest egg.

For me, what's troubling and is the reason why I'm stopping anything to do with the club, is there really doesn't look like there's a takeover happening. I've never been able to pin down wtf goes on with Ashley, Barnes, Bishop, Charnley. They never make any sense, nor does anything they do ever 'come off'. This is no different. If you want to sell a club for premium price, you make sure it's in the top division. The end. Anything else is just fabricated nonsense, so why are they fundamentally not bothered?

I think when Bruce wasn't fired for gross misconduct when he shoved Ritchie it was clear Mike Ashley doesn't want to sack him. That was his chance to get rid without compensation and he let it slide.

The players clearly want him gone and they're going to learn just like Newcastle fans have that you don't ask Mike Ashley for anything.

I think it’s the opposite: I think he begged to be sacked and paid up. MA said no. You will see it out as he has created this mess.

Nah Bruce's on a personal crusade note than anything else

He wants to see it through.

He's the type of guy who of he keeps the club up will stand there blowing smoke up his arse and taking pot shots at fans, journalists and clubs for not giving managers time.

He will stand there effectively saying " let that be a lesson to you all"

It was said years ago. Keegan said it. Enrique said it. Barton said it. Mike Ashley isn’t in this for the club. He’s only interested if we are not in the PL.

Ashley has flogged the horse to the brink. And we are now on the cusp of purgatory.

We will go down as it currently stands.

The takeover most like is not there now.

    The arbitration becomes irrelevant.

And I think your right. I think Bruce is here next season in the championship too!

The takeover is done for after relegation...

No chance whatsoever.. Ashley wouldnt drop the price to 50 million would he?

They could buy another championship club with fans for that.

I think he's perhaps hoping to get the pay-off. I doubt he's asking for it - if he was asking, he could negotiate the deal and it would show at least that Ashley/Charnley had a grasp of the issue. They could realistically get away with 50% or more reduction, due to the dire nature of Bruce's tenure. But they don't even seem aware. They - as is always their way - don't get it, don't seem to understand what's happening. They live in a weird bubble, which I'll never, ever understand, of ignorance and arrogance that borders on sociopathic/psychotic.

I think it's the worst state I've seen the club in. Bruce/Jones are arguing, openly, the players are in open revolt, there's barely a saleable asset in the squad, there's a bunch of players completely out of contract in just 3 months with no sign of negotiation. there's very little spine, fight or spirit and a total absence of talent. The owner is completely absent, the MD as useless as I've ever seen him (or NOT seen him) and there doesn't appear to be any hope of a takeover - the silence from the alleged buyers continues to be deafening. The club is just slipping into a black hole, an abyss, and is bizarrely making no effort whatsoever to get away from it.

I've seen **** owners do bad by the club - Westwood's policy of selling whoever he could, as fast as he could, to trouser some coin was poor. But what Ashley has done and continues to do simply defies belief, logic, sense, intelligence, and so on. It's absolutely hands down the strangest time every for Newcastle United; it's like it barely exists. Does anyone know what is happening with Ashley's world that is making him so negligent? Did somebody kidnap his family? That he has no interest in protecting an asset worth over £300m - his largest single asset outside of SD - is beyond mystifying. I'm desperate for someone to explain what the **** is going on.

Just read on Twitter (and it could be a load of bollocks) that apparently their goalkeeper completed more successful passes than any of our players last night.

    If that’s true it’s crazy!

I think he expected to go, but now he knows he's invincible and like I say whatever happens he's either going to stand there smirking taking pot shots at journalists and describe it all as nonsense and a lesson for us all or he's going to start next season saying we're where we are let's have a go at it, stick with it and see if we can get the club promoted if we possibly can.. We know its going to be difficult for a club like ours, but the difficulty for us all.

    It’s just plain weird.

Ashley is killing a premiership football club in front of everyone, the premier league included, and they are watching eating popcorn.

What baffles me more than anything is the lack of ex players and pundits who seem to be either quiet or saying minimal things or backing Bruce. It’s almost as if it’s scripted for the entertainment of the general paying public.

Mike ashley is arrogant just like all arseholes on the planet.

There's also a huge misconception in the fanbase that Mike Ashley stands to lose money.. He's not going to lose a single penny.

The pundits are all part of the football family. They know each other and have met each others families, so it's not baffling it's just common sense to consider their opinions as dishonest in most cases.
