    Anyone looking for omens?
England RFU beaten by Scotland, Ireland and Wales, in the same 5/6 Nations tournament for the first time in 45 years.
By my reckoning that was 1976.
    Are the stars aligning?

    Another one.

My Triumph Spitfire was registered on May 1st 1976. Been off road for 6-7 years but hoping to get it back MOTed and working for...May1st.

    What happened May 1st 1976?

EDIT: Guess the colour of it...Inca Yellow British Leyland Paint code 97 :)

Should any of you have been worried about my state of health, you'll be delighted to know that I was totally relaxed at the 47 mins and 59 secs point of the second half! Messaged my cousin down in the deep South and he came back with "Never in doubt". Never in doubt? FFS, has he changed teams?

City, Chelsea and Man United (assuming the latter two both win today) all have European games mid-week before the semi final weekend.

If United beat Leicester, and we then draw them, that game will be on the Sunday as United are playing in the Europa league on the Thursday.

Chelsea play their CL game on the Tuesday, and City play their CL game on the Wednesday.

Might not make much difference considering their squads, but a potential slight advantage.

Also - our home game with Palace will now be rearranged, in addition to the spurs game that would have been played yesterday if we weren’t in the cup.

Quite a few people appear to be assuming United will beat Leicester. I fancy Leicester to win that one.

If someone could despatch Citeh, we beat all the rest of these teams last year; and with an International rest and the return of Theo and Danny ... well ... who knows???

    ...

and then there’s the NEW Redders !!!

So who are we last-chance-salooning for the semi-finals? Surely Ingsy is deserving of one if he's fit.

The perfect scenario would be to get Danny back fighting fit and firing before the S/F and to get the 4+ points I believe should relieve any remaining fear of being sucked into the relegation scrap against Burnley and WBA.
A confident and hungry Redders is a massive bonus too.

I hope everyone keeps expectations of the “new” Redders in check. Yesterday was great but it was fine margins, as most things in football are. Just before his run and assist, he did a direct run (which I like to see) and he got the decision making all wrong. Che ran to his right which should have meant Redders either went left or played Che in. He went right and it all got blocked. A few minutes later he made a similar direct run and got the pass spot on. Up until the assist he wasn’t looking quite on it.

He is definitely a confidence player but I also believe he needs a lot of coaching help in his decision making. Fans will need to be patient.

Hopefully yesterday will be a lift for him and he gains some confidence. There’s always been ability there, just decision making that needed improving. If he listens to the coaching, he can still be important to us.

We need to keep in mind that this was just one game against championship opposition.

Personally I'd say it is much more likely we see him struggle again rather than suddenly return to form... bloody hope he proves me wrong though as he can make a difference for us.

I was looking through the Southsampton FC ('Official') web site, and they have put up a gallery of 69 pictures of the match. Picture 38 shows Vesty, and the photo has Vesty in an 'interesting' pose:

You really should start a new thread (if mods allow) with a caption competition for that :)
