Hello chaps Sunderland fan here. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this weekends game. We are dire at the minute and Bruce has lost the plot and a large section of support so im not expecting a win. Arsenal have always been my 'second team' and its a shame to not see you challenging at the top and losing your top players. Do you see this as a 'must win' game? How confident are you of victory? Any truth in the 'wenger out' banner? How do you think you'll line up?
You'll fit in well with a few around around here fella Personally, I think we'll win, but by no large margin. And as for the Wenger out banner, people should be allowed to express their opinions if it makes them feel better.
Im hoping we set out to attack and go 442 but i can't see Bruce being that bold. I think he'll pack the middle and hope to stifle you and maybe sneak a goal from a larsson set piece. Who will play right back for you with sagna out?
I think we need the win badly but you just cannot take anything for granted with us right now, I forsee a tight affair and if we sneak it I will be satisfied. Sunderland always put it up to Arsenal and seem to perform well against us, I don't see them be 3 handy points by any means. Surely Bendtner is not allowed to play against us?
surely not? you can't play against your parent club without special dispensation, and i can't see Arsene granting it with the run Arsenal are on right now.
Poor little Sessegnon on his own with a 5 man midfield behind him or it'll be wickham or ji with sess in the hole in a 4411
btw, who do u guys (sunderland) have in attack, because obviously bendtner can't play. is fraizer campbell still there?
They will sit deep and look for a point so if the likes of Ramsey start passing it as slowly as they have done this season then it could be a long day.
I have to say I've got a slightly soft spot for you guys too. When you got Bendtner I hoped he would genuinely do well for you. I was actually hoping you would get Lansbury on loan as a stop gap to fill Henderson's void. Since his Liverpool move, we have all been slating Jordan a lot but Lansbury genuinely would have done a great job for you there. He's a better player at this time. As for this game, I think we simply have to win. As we do with every single game. Arsenal need to be in a respectable enough position come January so we can buy the better players. Conversely, if we do too well the board will say what we have is good enough. We'll win. Theo is long overdue a good game.
