We keep donating goals to the opposition. Why was DJ moved inside? We were doing so well down the flanks. When we play down the middle we are very easy to crowd out. Maatsen was all on his own on the left in the second half. He kept having to check back which put us under pressure.
It's a Desmond Two points lost, having led twice. But (as the old saying goes) an away point is always a good point. Six games unbeaten now - UP THE ADDICKS!
I don't entirely blame Famewo for that goal. Just as much Amos's fault. And shortly before that he nearly got caught ahrt dallying on the ball, but got away with it.
Amos shouldn't have passed to him either. Famewo's only other option was to lump it, and Amos may as well have done that himself.
Why did Adkins keep changing the formation? It was working with Millar on the left and Jayasimi on the right. Not impressed with that at all. Why do managers keep on tinkering, when it is working.
The individual error was bad, that said we didn't play well in the last 30mins and a draw was what we deserved
Apologies are always controversial I think. And every story has two sides. Since we don't know either one, we can draw no conclusions. However, I think it very unlikely Thomas Sandgaard would do something like this without knowing both sides of the story - or at least knowing enough to convince him that he has done the appropriate thing. We may learn more in time. Then we might be able to decide who should be apologising to who.
OK, that does clarify things to some extent. Here is a screencap of the whole of Peter Finch's twitter statement; Thomas Sandgaard seems to have felt it necessary to apologise to the person responsible for this. Presumably TS has been fully briefed on the history of this matter. Here is a transcript of what Thomas Sandgaard said yesterday while being interviewed. (pauses and repetitions removed) "Unfortunately I believe there was I believe some commentators with some unfortunate comments. On behalf of the Club I want to apologise for what happened. And I know he's been very adamant that we recognise that, and I definitely want to do that. It's important that we pay attention to what's going on with our fans. So John, I just want to say on behalf of the Club that we're sorry about what happened a couple of years ago." As I don't spend any time reading social media of any kind, I was previously unaware of this matter. Whatever the background though, this apology should draw a line under what sounds like a very unpleasant business. Mr Sandgaard is doing what he thinks is right in relation to Charlton Athletic's fans. Obviously he has some strong convictions on this, whether or not some of us may agree on his approach. Sadly it's not possible to keep everybody happy all of the time. Since I know almost nothing about what happened I probably won't make any further comments on it. At least we now know the background to what TS said yesterday.
