Yesterday, Sky Sports ran the highlights of the 3-3 draw against United, in the EFL Cup Final, in which Gabbiadini became the first player to score a hat-trick in the final of the competition. One thing that struck me was the speed and frequency with which we were getting players to the by-line and hitting hard and low crosses into the danger area, where a touch from anyone, attacker or defender, could have led to a goal. I would love to see so much more of that from the team, not just today but every game. Whatever the result the winner of the other 3 QFs will be praying that they get us or Bompey in the SF.
That's what I remember too, Claude Puel's team started to play some speedier, more constructive and purposeful attacking football after the fixture list eased in the new year and Gabbi was on fire then and Redders too IIRC (who got called up for England). If VVD had been fit i'm sure that we would've won that day. we certainly wouldn't have let 3 in.
That was the brief period of time when we we were an exciting team to watch and played fast attcking football under Puel, and if I remember correctly, won quite a few games. Also coincided with Gabbis purple patch of scoring goals. Unfortunately it didn't last long and we reverted back to the slow purposeless passing and minimal goal threat before long.
Right ..... I’m setting up camp behind the settee (checks to make sure Fran isn’t already there) for this one .... COYS!! Make me proud ......
Well, if the bench are as “effective” as they were against Brighton, it won’t make a lot of difference
I’ve gone from total confidence to crapping myself. Though I did have a curry last night so that may explain it. 2-3 AET
All of them. I work with a cartel of Bournemouth supporters so we have to win for my own sake. If the club care about me at all they'll make sure the players know this.
Days like today, living in Bournemouth I am glad that a. We are in lockdown and can’t go out. b. I work for a US company. I have even steered clear of friends on FB.
Yep. There are too many Nathans competing for places for him to hold his spot down much longer, unless he steps up.
