You're obviously there now by the time I saw this, so all the best pal.

Whilst you're there, let us know if you bump into Isaac Vassell. <ok>

Back to the footie and the game today.

I'm a bit concerned that in our last 2 away games Mick went there for the point. We got it at Boro and Huddersfield but were very poor in both games as a result. Since then, the loss and draw at home since against Watford and Stoke where we sat in to contain them were hardly decent performances either. I expect Cooper to think he'll do it again and plan accordingly.

Maybe the loss of Bennett and Bagan has disrupted things but the real problem has been midfield. If we play the same way again, at some point they'll get something - maybe even an injury time penalty. :emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think

Just how do we sort out this lack of midfield pace and control? Going for it could mean abandoning conventional wingers by starting Wilson and Bacuna together. A pacy front man (Harris/Watters) up top with Moore to pull their defence out wide - I'd leave a very poor Ojo last time out on the bench. That leaves 6 outfield spots left so is it a back 4 or 5?

Go for a back 4 - stretch Sang, Morro, Flint and Ng (if fit) across the back - that leaves 2 more defensive midfielder slots to break up play in front of them. Take your pick- any two from Ralls, Vaulks and Pack.

    Too ambitious? - you bet........<laugh>

I’ll despair if we play a containing game and hope to nick one from a dead ball or throw in.

Playing 3 at the back makes us so predictable. It causes our passive central midfield to be outnumbered and all that happens is it gets lumped up to an isolated Moore.

I’m with you - it needs changing. Plug has planned on playing through our midfield gaps.

    Good old fashioned 4-4-2?

    No.

Same system. But id change the line up.

Bacuna and Ralls in the middle with Wilson and Murphy back.

Lets hope the ref doesn't fall for their diving and feigning injury.

    So let's get this right......

5 at the back, presumably Sang, Morro, Flint, Brown and Ng in the absence of Nelson (is he fit?)

With Moore, Wilson and Murphy effectively up front, you're relying on just Ralls and Bacuna to match them in midfield?

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Johnny Williams get a start.

Yes. I think it will be Ralls and Vaulks in the middle though.

Forgotten about him. <doh> If he gets a start, who do you leave out?

Wilson must start with Williams as a possible option to change later. Can't see him starting Wilson and Williams though - unless he leaves Murphy out.

    Phillips
    Ng Morrison Flint Sang
    Williams Pack Vaulks Wilson
    Murphy Moore

But suspect it’ll be more like

    Phillips
    Ng Morrison Flint Brown Sang
    Pack Vaulks

Maybe I've missed confirmation, but is Nelson definitely out for this one?
