    SCREAMING COLOURS 12/1 Uttoxeter 3:35
Looks to have the ideal profile for a horse running in this race and we have seen all week that Irish form is way ahead of British form.

Did you put up the winner last year? Think you did. Truckers tavern running again. Seem to remember Paul nicholls having a good day, maybe he targets the first Saturday after Cheltenham these days.

I remember the day very well, Stick indeed put up the winner and someone put up Sams Adventure in the opener and I had Main Fact in between. Very nice treble and several accas landed.

My God you fellas have good memories. I just looked up the thread for this day last year and I had put the winner up. Seems I had been absent for the whole of Cheltenham!

Bet365 have opened a book on the 2022 CGC (10 horses quoted). Why on earth are they quoting Dickie Diver in it?!?

I got on Time To Get Up early and 4s was fair enough. I have this horse as being thrown in off this mark and they should be able to ride him quietly and pounce when the field tire. The Two Amigos should help set it up perfectly.

Morning all..always a bit of a flat feeling after the festival..

I wonder how Rachel Blackmore feels today.. she rode 6 winners and ended up being top jockey but of course chose to not ride Minella Indo.

Would you swap your 6 winners for being a Gold Cup winner?

Would you swap 6 winning bets for an English winner?

You have to look very hard for the English winners I must admit and lets face it, it was a very poor effort.

They were having the debate on itv racing earlier about why the English challenge was so poor. Its interesting to hear the views..

16 of the last 17 winners of the Midlands national have been aged 9 or under, and just 2 favourites from the past 17 runnings have managed to win. Eliminates a fair few of the field straight away should trends continue. Course form is also irrelevant it seems. The one I fancy in it is Coo Star Sivola @ 16/1 for a few squid each way.

Get your eyes over to a glorious point to point card from Wexford then, point to point racing is currently banned under covid restrictions, so this will be a much needed day out for some of the trainers nicer horses before the ground begins to get too dry, missing February has been a big blow so I expect we might see a nice type or three today. If I hear anything through the grapevine from there through the day, I'll try my best to get it on here.

    Have a good day everyone.
