I guess I'd go with Djenepo to replace Minamino.

But if Ralph is willing to change formation, then I'd instead go with Salisu for Minamino.

We really don't need 3 CB's against Bournemouth.

Yep. Don’t need to keep a clean sheet, just need to score more than them.

Indeed. But I'd rather have 11 players on the field, than 10. It just so happens that our 11 best available players include 3 CBs.

FWIW I think you're being far too harsh on Djenepo.

Agreed. I know he's by no means the finished article but I reckon he's a real nuisance at times to the opposition! Occasionally his teammates too if I'm honest but he'll not be the first. Fernandes comes to mind.

I don't like to worry anyone but if you look at the training gallery, I'm pretty sure they are practicing penalties! Don't think it will go that far but if it does, it's nice to know we have been working on them.

If this season isn't to end like '74 when we tumbled from top six to relegation, this is our Wrexham moment. OK, for the pedants, it was fifth round, but I can still recall the optimism that day as we made our way to The Dell. I lived in London then, and various Saints fans were booking places on the floor of my flat for the Final. We knew that our 11 were better than their 11. Wrexham would never deal with Mick in his pomp. And we should have won by a country mile. There are moments in football you never forget, even if they get embroidered, and Mick's miss after he'd gone round their keeper looks worse every time I replay it! The defeat seemed to drain the team. The brilliant swash-buckling new manager was suddenly subject to close scrutiny, and he began to lose his sheen. The team suddenly couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo, and the addition of record signing Peter Osgood only seemed to make matters worse.

Ralph is right. This is the match. The one that will define the season. Win this, and even if we're beaten 5-0 in the semi by one of the Manchester teams we'll be OK. Lose it and belief will be further drained. I cannot believe we're going to lose. They are a decent championship team, but no more. We are team capable of beating anyone if we believe we can. They have their eyes on a Wembley play off final. We can eye the FA Cup. This should be no contest. But I've obviously supported Saints for too long.

Prediction? By 1.00 on Saturday I'll be wondering why I worried as Che Adams completes a hat trick to put us 3-0 up at the break. Hang on, then my thoughts will go to Tranmere. in '01. Oh no. So many years supporting this lot. So many cock-ups.

I’d be more concerned if they weren’t
England used to think practising pens was necessary

I’d like Bomo to be allowed to concentrate on the play offs
Norwich, Brentford, Bomo to come up and Newcastle to go down, Brighton and Fulham to avoid drop
    Lots of nice away games

    Saints 0-2
although we’ve only got one striker!

The one thing I remember about the match was Arfon Griffiths getting Mick Channon in a classic wresting neck lock to stop him getting by him and the ref ignored it. The pitch was a veritable quagmire that day.

Do we know if Ings is available for this game? I think i read somewhere he was spotted in training!

Team i'd pick based on personel available, And role pegs in round holes.

    Forster;
    KWP, Bednerak, Vestergaard, Bertie,
    Armatrong, JWP, Diallo, Djenepo
    Adams, Tella.

As I was reading through your post, one word kept coming back to me... Tranmere

    then you mentioned it yourself.

I was living in the NW back at the time of the Tranmere replay, surrounded by Liverpool supporting mates. At half time I invited them to mine for a BBQ for the Liverpool game in the next round. I’ll be doing none of that on Sunday!
