I don't disagree with you. I think most would pick the bulk of the "first team". For me Burge, Sanderson, Wright, Hume, Scowen, Winchester, Jones, McGeady Wyke. It's the filling in of the other spots and bench, that I'm interested in.
4 new signings in January. McFad started poorly, but improving, Winchester settling in well and really starting to look the part, Stewart scores on his debut, and looked very useful and Jones looks a world beater at this level. A great start for the new regime.
He got Motm in our last 2 games playing as a CB before tonight. The lad deserves a night off, he's doing an excellent job at CB. This was his 3rd game in a week.
One million percent spot on. Sunday playing in a cup final in the National Stadium on a silky pitch. Wednesday playing in League 1 in a League one ground where the opposition just want to stop us and the reward is not tangible. Brilliant result. Loved McGeady´s passion and frustration. They want to win
You've pulled loads of people to pieces, from the manager through Burge to Winchester. Saying O'Nien was 'shocking' is totally idiotic. You 'have a bad feeling' before nearly every game and your first thought is to criticise players after wins. You're a really miserable bloke tbh .... ... as other people have said, I'd hate to be anywhere near you.
Sounds like Wright and Jones are both out of Saturday vs Lincoln. Shame that, especially about Jones. O'Brien is closest out of the 3 apparently.
It appears Jones might be out from Saturday based on LJ interview after game. Based on that I reckon I'd start on Saturday with the same team that started second half today. Maybe McFadz in for Vokins
Not bad when we only have 1 proper center half who's only 21 sorting everyone out and playing like he's a lot older than that
As I said before the game, the opposition must wonder what they have to do to score ... ... which must demoralise them before they even take the pitch.
He's certainly utilising what's left of his squad excellently. There's going to be some really useful players not even making the 18 when we get the injured players back.
Doesn't even really matter what team we put out, we've had to chop and change a lot but there's been great consistency with Johnson. It feels like we could put Burge upfront and Scowen in goal and we'd still score three and keep a clean sheet.
cracking point this. completely forgot suspensions existed. when was the last time we had a player out suspended?
e Haven't a bloody clue mate Every time I see LJ's team announce before kick off I think "not sure about that" but we win. And he changes formation and players as the game goes on. During the game I keep thinking "we are far too open" but we've had 7 clean sheets in 8 and for the second league game running the opposition hasn't had a shot on target. Like Smug says I really think that him and his staff plan the games based on the full 18 So our best 11 changes as the game goes on. So I'm going to sit back keep everything crossed. Enjoy the ride and let him get on with it
