Being married to a woman who has previously dwelled(past tense) in 2 of the roughest housing schemes in Glasgow, you've probably nailed that answer correctly.
https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/an-e...ed-football-club-legends-tickets-145636878825 What a sad day for the SMC, club and its fans Hosting a night of weasels, nonces, weirdos and wannabes. Hopefully someone with **** in the curry and piss in the drinks.
A new low. Whatever happened to principles? How many other self-respecting cities would have allowed this?
It gets worse. It's not the only one. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-...ur-hull-tickets-145867653077?aff=erelpanelorg
Much as I hate to see this and would not be attending either event if they were free and it was free beer, apparently these events are arranged by a company that touts them around the country like a travelling circus. The only saving grace is that they might bring a bit of income in. Personally I'd sooner City showed some balls and arranged some fund raising events themselves involving Hull City instead of dropping their draws like a ten bob whore at the first offer that comes along. Sadly both events will be full and guess who will be the butt of all the cheap jokes and jibes ?
Why., I mean why.. It’s just all that’s wrong with the marketing within the club..How does this possibly generate interest in Hull City. I need a drink...
Out of touch with reality. York City reversed their decision soon enough, to allow City to be the last team to play on Bootham Crescent. This was on the back of supporters reactions. Can't imagine the SMC showing any form of 'loyalty' to their supporters, especially if Ehab has anything to do with it. Loyalty was a bit thin on the ground when they spaffed £200k of 'Away Supporters Initiative' money.
Hull City supporters have loads of opportunities to meet and talk with ex players. I run a zoom meeting every week with ex players, this week if he can figure out Zoom we will have Tom Wilson on as well as John Hawley, Stan McEwan and Justin Whittle. The club gives the OSC opportunities to put on events with first team players and ex tigers. We are supported by KCOM to put events on in the community.
The OSC should be organising these type of nights at the KC for City fans. Make no bones about it they are fund raising nights. The OSC should be raising money for Hull City. How much does your Zoom meetings bring in ? Perhaps if the OSC were a bit more active in this field there wouldn't be any vacant nights for the Leeds and Liverpool legends to fill the void. I helped organise a couple of fund raising nights for the ex Tigers at Walton Club recently. Hugely successful, packed out and plenty of money raised. Proper Hull City nights .It can be done. The interest is there, But is the will ?
