I haven't said that but I don't think it's a great league in terms of quality - there's certainly a marked difference between League one and the Championship.
It’s still really tight, obviously glad we have the points on the board, one team wins though and another loses from the top three and the all picture changes again especially with these games in hand. We have to keep the winning run going, pressurise the others and hopefully create a gap in case of any slip ups.
Have Sunderland even lost since Lee Johnson took over? They look like they've got all the momentum (and games in hand) going into the final stretch. They're the 'one team that comes from nowhere' this year - though nobody is saying it, because everyone expects a big club to be up there anyway. Us V Peterborough for 2nd?
Agree Sunderland have got all the momentum but we are not bad ourselves, however we have to keep it going, they do too but with our points advantage if we can maintain a winning run which we need to do then that will put added pressure onto them and one defeat could change everything. It’s still really close between the top three.
Obviously one defeat to us though and it’s advantage them so basically it’s a case of concentrate on ourselves, forget the others and it’s keep that winning run going. Pressure will take its toll if we do what we know we have to do.
Agreed. We have the points in the bag whereas they still need to earn them. There are 3 outcomes in a match and they have to ensure they don't drop points to go above us.
Blimey we are still 5 points ahead of them and won 5 in a row. Early to be conceding the title. It will be up and down for next few weeks.
Time will tell. You can lose one game and before you know it you've lost 3 on the spin. Let's concentrate on winning our games and see if they can keep up with us. Let's just enjoy being top. Like the caramel advert "take it easy"
The point I made is I can't recall a time since Lee Johnson took over that they lost a game. Or even the last time they dropped points? Which means we need to ensure we win all our games to finish above them, and even then, their games in hand could mean they finish above us even if we win all our remaining games. I know it's very unlikely they will win all their remaining games, but at the moment they don't look like dropping any points.
I remember them doing the same a few years ago in the championship . They where struggling and came here . It was a dreadful game and they scored in injury time to win 1 nil . They then went on an amazing run and I think they won the title with 100 points . It's looking very similar this time .
