    Fulham v Leeds Utd
Friday 19th [email protected] | Craven Cottage

Leeds travel down to Craven Cottage on Friday evening without the services of skipper Liam Cooper and almost certainly Patrick Bamford. Cooper has been ruled out of action for the rest of the month with 'illness', whilst their leading scorer sustained a leg injury, thought at the time to be a dead leg, against Chelsea last week.

With Bamford out of action, Bielsa that the option to promote Joe Gelhardt to the starting line up. The 18yo has been in sensational form for Mark Jackson's team, and deserves recognition. Will the gaffer bow to fans pressure or rely on a combination of Rodrigo and Tyler Roberts to lead the front line?

It is thought that Bielsa will keep the same defensive partnership of Llorente and Struijk that kept a clean sheet against the Blues on Saturday lunchtime. Robin Koch completed 45 minutes of game time for the U23's on Monday, showing no signs of being sidelined for almost four months. He'll be pushing for a return to first team action, though will have to make do with a place on the bench.

Luke Ayling and Kalvin Phillips both picked up knocks at the weekend but are expected to play.

Fulham are fighting for their lives towards the foot of the table. Their recent form has seen the Cottagers move within two points of Newcastle and three points off Brighton. The have only lost twice (against Citeh and Spurs) in their last seven games. This includes an impressive win against Liverpool.

    Are these prices right?

    aaaaaaaaad-2 copy.jpg

Obviously the season ticket holders from this season are going to roll on to next season, with prices frozen for for a 10th year.

For the 2021-22 season, should Leeds put their prices up? They could have filled Elland Road three times over?

Rodrigo could be out with a muscle strain, unless Bielsa is blagging it.Bamford could be back though but that still means we need cover for Rodrigo and maybe Bamford. We only have Roberts to cover for Bamford and it seems cover for Rodrigo too, so maybe its time Bielsa used Gelhardt or Greenwood, or how about trying Raphinah in there? Desperate times calls for.....

Last time we were in a similar situation, he used Harrison as CF. Twice, I think. Surprised I remember this as it was instantly forgettable & an utter failure imo.

Good memory, I forgot that. Personally I think he’ll go with Roberts up top, Rodrigo on the bench to replace him if needed. I did read that they think Bamford will be fit?

Even if we don’t fully break the London hoodoo and get a win, so long as we draw I’d say that will keep us up.

Fulham have improved dramatically over the last month they are not a bad team, plus they are starting to get a roll going to avoid relegation, with our injuries to key players i think Fulham will have their back up for this one , and a win here could put Newcastle in the relegation zone, I think this one will be too close to call

Got to agree, either way around 4 points from the next 2 would be about it you would think then we can play the "big boys" with no fear like we did at the start of the season. Minimum of 3 from those two would probably be ok but I would rather not find out :emoticon-0107-sweat

I'm not having any of it. Fulham are crap. there I've have said it.
Yes they may of got a 1-0 win at Liverpool. but!
They have lost 3 of their last 5 homes games and only won 2 at home all season.
against both teams who are below them and are going down West Brom and Sheff Utd.
    In their last 14 games.
scored 7: Averaging One goal every two games.
    conceded: 14 Averaging a goal a game.

This game will suit us right down to the ground. forget it being in London its a football stadium we aren't playing up hills against a wind every time we go there. end of the day its a football pitch same as ours. It's all Statistic boll$cks.
ok the stats may not look good on London Pitches but sooner or later that trend will end and who knows we may win our next 5 in London what then? we are then unbeatable on London soil it's all aload of boll$cks end of the day,

Fulham will be looking at all their home games wanting points. we will be down on their chalkboard as a 3 pointer because we are not an established Premiership team. they will take chances against us. Chances they wouldn't against against so called top 6 clubs.
These are the games we love to play in.
I always have said if we score first in any game we are very hard to beat because teams have to take chances against us.
Fulham have to take chances they won't want a 0-0.
Bamford is scoring Friday night in a comfortable win.
    MOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let’s break the London hoodoo before going into next season, let’s put a bit more space between us and the bottom three, let’s get a few goals and build some belief

We are better than Fulham. It's a fact that has proven over the last 18 months or so.

We just need to start to put the ball in the net a bit more and we will start winning games again. We have had 3 goals disallowed and hit the bar in the last two games. This will swing back in our favour at some point. Hopefully that will happen Friday night and we can pick up the three points.

Agree regarding the so called London hoodoo. Its a nice story for people to cling on to but it really doesn't matter. It's just a coincidence.

I'm expecting us to win the game but we need to start putting these chances away.
