    Seconds out - Round 2,

    my bets today....
    1.30 Bob Ollinger
    2.30 Witness Protection (ew)
    3.40 Some Neck (ew)
    4.15 Not That Fuisse (ew)
    4.50 Kilcruit

I'm tempted by the 28-1 for Notebook in the Champion Chase. You could put up an argument for most of the runners but I'm hoping that Notebook reproduces his old form and golden girl Rachel Blackmore is back in the spotlight.

On the Paddy Power Cheltenham preview last week, Tony Mullins was very bullish about Kilcruit.

2.30 - Monte Cristo edges it from Blue Sari
    3.05 - CSP

    4.15 - Zanza
    4.50 - Grangee ew

Morning all...Happy St Patrick's day - it could very well end up being 'Willie's Wednesday's or even "De Bromhead day'. :emoticon-0111-blush

Let's hope the Irish don't win all the races though. Following bets for me:

    1.20pm Bob Olinger 7/4 win
    2.30pm Craigneiche 10/1 each way 6 places
3.05pm Put the kettle on 10/1 each way. I can't back Chacun Pour Soi in such a competitive line up today and with a weight allowance plus her great record at Cheltenhan she can run well..
3.40pm Defi Des Carres 40/1 each way 4 places. Has lots of cross country experience and why not at the price..
4.50pm Elle est belle 20/1 each way 4 places. Gets a handy weight allowance and could run very well on ground. Proven course form and has been kept back for this.

    Good luck all!<ale>

Good luck to all today, I'm watching the races at my mates house today so will probably miss out on the action on here... Could do with the obvious treble to set the rest of the accy's off but it won't be a complete disaster if not. Big hopes for a great opening race between BobO & GDM building up to see if Monkfish can put on another 1-man show in the Browns Novice Chase. The Coral cup is very open but i do like the look of Guard Your Dreams, which comes before the other hot fav Chacun Pour Soir in the Champion Chase. Another 1-man race, victory of over +6 lengths...?? I see the money has been coming in for Tiger Roll in the Cross Country, must be the housewives choice, as i can't be having him at any price after his previous runs. Anyway Easyland to win, Kingswell Theatre to place is what i think... The darts keep being thrown at the Grand Annual with Chosen Mate, Duc De Genieveres & Glen Forsa while hoping for Sir Gerhard to take the Bumper for the lovely Rachael...

    Good luck... <ok> <cheers>

1.20 One of 3 I think to win. Bravemansgame has a huge chance but I can't help thinking that he will find one of the Irish big guns to beat him.
If Denman couldn't win this race then I don't think Bravemansgame will. The form line for the favourite was boosted a bit yesterday and so I am going for Bob Olinger and another win for Rachael Blackmore.

1.55 Monkfish will win but I expect a big run from the Big Breakaway and I might even have a small each way bet on Fiddlerontheroof at 40/1

2.30 I like the look of Grand Roi ridden by Jack Kennedy who is an improving young horse, and also has experience on the track.
at 28/1 Janika is my best each way bet.

3.05 This appears to have a lot of depth to it with several each way possibles to consider, but then I keep reminding myself that Chacun Pour Soi is probably the second best horse here all week after Monkfish. Nube Negra and First Flow are interesting improvers and Politologue may well make the frame again. At a big price Rouge Vif might be the best each way bet though with better ground sure to suit.#

3.40 Heart says Tiger Roll. Head says Easysland.

4.15 A pity this race is not run on Friday still but anyway Embittered looks another very hard to beat favourite here today. Duc des Genieves at 20/1 looks an outstanding each way bet, dropped in class.

4.50 Willie Mullins looks to have the best horse in Kilcruit

Very surpsied at the lack of "home" support for Bravemansgame?

A Range Rover against Ferraris mate <ok> or at least 1 Ferrari in GDM - I think Bob Olinger was flattered by beating Blue Lord so easily, Blue Lord had the choke right out that day, ran way too free.

Anyway, as Nass will tell you, the Challow is usually a poor race <laugh> <ok>

I’m with Bravemansgame, ferraris aren’t particularly renowned for getting up grassy hills.

I don’t like horses with hoods on, so against Gaillardia. I also thought Bob Olinger would be better suited by heavier ground and might find one too good.

I actually really like Bear Ghylls, and the money is coming too. He has looked a very nice prospect and whilst his jumping wasn’t brilliant last time, he showed how talented he could be. It has something of a Brindisi Breeze about it too.

1:20 - Have Bob Olinger in about 5/6 multiple bets... Will probably play a small single bet but nothing noteworthy. Personally I think Gaillard Du Mesnil should be nowhere near favouritism (Watch me eat my words when he romps home) and think Bravemansgame will finish ahead of him. Bear Ghylls has been absolutely hammered in the betting over the last 24 hours, 16's into 13/2... I'm also going for a small E/W play w/o Bob on Does He Know at 40/1...

1:55 - Monkfish wins, again in loads of multiples... Fiddlerontheroof is 13/2 to place, but 17/2 w/o Monkfish so a little E/W play there, can see him finishing behind Monkfish and Eklat De Rire who I'll back at 9/4 w/o Monkfish...

2:30 - I was hoping Craigneiche would drift a bit today but not to be so a small win only. Going to go with a small bet E/W on Sayo at 50/1 and an E/W bet on Janika at 33's...

3:05 - Chacun in loads more multiples. Put The Kettle On w/o Chacun too... Split between having a E/W play on Sceau Royal or w/o Chacun on Notebook... Really liking the idea of there being no crowd for Notebook, hopefully won't sweat buckets beforehand and finished between Put The Kettle On and Chacun at Christmas. Hasn't done great at Cheltenham and PTKO seems to love it so going to chance PTKO win w/o Chacun and Notebook E/W w/o Chacun in the hopes it'll finally enjoy Cheltenham without the crowds.

3:40 - Easysland in more multiples again, about a stone and a half better than all the rest. Level weights will make it easier in a race he has been aimed at so I don't mind his last race at Cheltenham or the fact that the ground won't be soft. Worried to see which Tiger Roll will actually turn up. They've finally got the good ground they've always said he'd be better on, but I still can't see past Easysland. Can't dream of backing Le Breuil E/W with the ground turning up good, so might have a little play on Defi Des Carres E/W...

4:15 - Value nearly gone now but I think Chosen Mate wins. Biggest bet of the day for me is Bun Doran E/W. Ran in a Champion Chase and second in this race the year before. Just been given a light run up with only 3 races and looks well handicapped if he get back to previous Cheltenham form.

4:50 - Kilcruit being smashed into 5/4 now. I have Sir Gerhard in a few multiples and probably won't have anymore play in this race.

Rachel is probably my favourite jockey at the minute... She's riding like a genius this week... Except for the one mistake she made on Captain Guinness that I'm still not forgiving! :p

Wisht, we've got a 1/4 shot coming up next. The public will be really excited to latch onto that one.

What has the Cheltenham Festival become.
