Other than Howe and Wilder who we won't get. The only managers I might be interested in that I can think of would be the Cowley brothers, maybe Jackett.
I'd like Jacko, with Curbs as unofficial mentor. I've always seen Jacko as a future Charlton manager, although with maybe a spell elsewhere to cut his managerial teeth. The opposition to his appointment seems to be based more on the general idea that internal recruitment doesn't work, but Curbs would not agree, neither would Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan or Kenny Dalglish.
Paisley and Fagan were already in the back and senior figures from a different generation but Dalglish made the jump from being one of the lads, as did Elsie and Steve Gritt.
Odd choice considering Sandgaard keeps mentioning a desire for attacking football - Adkins is pretty far away from that. Is he friends with Roddy?
