Rococo River - 1pm Exeter. Last months run when back after a break can be forgiven. The ground was heavy and the trip was too far, so I assume that it was run just to freshen it up. The horse has now been dropped into a race over 2m 3f and gets good ground today which it will appreciate. The horse has also dropped down another couple of pounds to a mark of 108 which is a good few pounds lower than it has previously been competitive off. 5lb claimer will only help this horses chances further. 8/1 seems sound EW value.
For those who like decent flutter. ...and, for those who like a dabble on Sunderland. ....................and, olny for those who ARE gonna have a dabble on the lads on Sunday. Do you really feel confident? Well how about these choice selective odds ! William Hill Sunderland to - Win - 4/5 Sunderland to - Score in the second half - 4/7 Match Goals (over 1 goal) - 3/10 .....just saying !
Cheltenham Any tips for the racing this week? I know @Saff done well last year. @Nads also likes his betting I believe? Anyone else have any tips?
Should have been down now for the first couple of days, with my mate and our 2 youngest son's. Got Appreciate It in the first and going to try to get some of my money back on Goshen after it tripped itself up at the last hurdle last year. Looking forward to seeing top horses like Shishkin and Envoi Allen but odds are not attractive. Must be an omen, Chris Hughes has just come on the Morning Line
Some guy had a £5 accumulator over the last year and was waiting for Envoi Allen to win over £570,000!!! He has put a post out that after a restless night and a walk at 5.00am he has laid some of it off. This means that if it wins he will get £322,000 but if any other horse wins he will get £250,000. Releases the pressure - good luck to him
In the Dash handicap at York on Saturday, I like the look of Music Society. I watched this horses last race and he was clearly the best horse but struggled to get a clear run and still ended up finishing 2nd. A 4lb rise seems fair because the horse would have won easily with a clear passage and may have went up a bit more than 4lb. Easterby's horses have been running well all season and he knows his way around all these northern racecourses. He's been allocated 8st 10 for the race and the jockeys 5lb claim will reduce that weight even further. There's a snag, though. It's weather permitting. This horses best form has all come on fast ground, the quicker the better with this one. Anything more than a drizzle over York racecourse from now until the race sets off and I'd probably look elsewhere.
Sorry mate, I've just seen this. Dysart Dynamo in the Novices hurdle next year at Cheltenham if that helps
Showed a lot of talent in bumper races and looks well bred to take easily to hurdles. Has great speed and a good turn of foot. It also belongs to Mullins who does well at Cheltenham with his horses. There's another horse that he's related to, that has Dysart in it's name and that won well on it's debut. Not sure if that's turned out again but definitely horses to keep an eye out for. I wouldn't back it on the ante-post just yet unless they guarantee your money back if its a non-runner.
Normally down there for the Ebor meeting. Love York races. I normally like to back Easterby or Fahey in the sprint races there. Will have a look at Music Society.
My brother is down there for it and I can't wait to start going. I'm not a big fan of the flat season, I rarely have a bet but I do sit and watch all the big meetings. It will be November before my first trip out. I like to go to the Fighting Fifth meeting at Newcastle.
