Please don’t implode. Catch them on the break. Almost - Rodman hits the post. Sounds like a cracking game, if you’re a Gashead of course!
How did we not get a penalty and their keeper not get sent off for a blatant foul on Daly It was as good a performance as I have seen this season Northampton Swindon Rochdale have all lost
Very unexpected but absolutely crucial three points - well done the Gas. Sounded like we took the game to them and actually finished the chances we created, plus we managed not to self-destruct. That’s quite a result against a team that hammered us just a few weeks ago.
Unbelievable!! That will teach Accrington to score 6 against us! A repeat performance against Wimbledon on Saturday will set us up nicely for the Swindon game which I believe comes after that. Well played to them all and well done Joey - credit where credit's due. Imperative it wasn't a one off, lets keep this going. Sorry, just correcting myself - After Wimbledon, we have 2 away games, Charlton and Plymouth, before we face Swindon. Got a bit carried away there - still in shock after our win this evening!
In actual fact we have played quite well in the last two games in spite of losing both. Against Burton we had McCormick sent off relatively early which was a big blow, and Hull are the league leaders. In spite of concerns maybe JB can knock us into shape after all.
Swindon losing 3-1 at home to Gillingham at present - as long as we win today, this could be a pivotal weekend for us.
Most interesting thing I have seen in this game was a thumb cleaning the camera lens Aimless load of passing cant see us scoring today 78 minutes gone only 1 sub and we don't look like scoring surely he has somebody who can wake this lot up on the bench This ref has made some very poor decisions both ways today What an appalling match we were lucky to get a point
Still 19th 6 points adrift of Burton who are 18th Northampton and Wigan on same points Rochdale Swindon and AFC below us
Well a point is a point closer to hopeful safety and the great escape! We must accept there are going to be many blips along the way - we may have done well by beating Accrington last week, but we haven't suddenly become a good team - we are still as poor a team that we were before that victory, it's just that Joey has found a way of getting them to perform better as a unit and plays to their strengths more. Despite the disappointing result, it was nice to see us keep a clean sheet, that's an achievement in itself for us! The way this crazy season has gone, where home advantage doesn't seem to count anything like as much as normal, we are just as likely to win at Charlton next week, where the form book probably doesn't give us much chance!
63 years! I guess statistically, we are due a win then! Their luck can't go on forever - Rumour has it that the real reason their manager walked was to avoid the humiliation of being beaten at home by the mighty Gas this evening, although I'm not sure if I totally buy in to that theory! Nonetheless, the boys could well be bringing 3 points back with them later!
Watching the game on I follow live text now there's a joke 8 minutes showing on the clock and the only thing showing is game begins 0 - 1 Rovers Leahy the scorer penalty won by Jonah Ayunga
