14:30 Cheltenham - Aye Right (Will not desert one of my favourite NH horses, doesn't owe me a thing on past e/w bets. Always runs his heart out but, unfortunately, always seems to find one that beats him close home. Also, as was pointed-out above, creeping up in the weights too. Usual jockey, Callum Bewley, is under suspension, and so trainer Harriet Graham has secured the services of Richard Johnson, not a bad stand-in, I would say! Hope the ground will dry out to be at least 'good-to-soft', 'good' would be even better!. Backed him at 9/1 a day or two ago.) Have a successful Festival guys, hope the forum members find plenty of winners!
The McNeill family, incidentally, sponsor the race. The killer stat / trend, re tomorrow's racing, actually concerns the Ultima. 8 of the last 9 winners, of the contest, wore some form of headgear. Will it be 9 out of 10 after the 2021 renewal??? You pays your money and takes your pick...
Another killer stat for everyone, that I didn't believe when I read it - last year 14 horses at the Festival started at 3/1 or shorter and only 2 won, Envoi Allen & Epatante, with Envoi Allen the only one of six odds on favourites to win.
Yes you are right she went off shorter, as did Min and Easysland . So actually there were 5 out of 14 so a little better...I guess the message is don't be afraid to back something against a warm favourite..
Stats damn stats and covid deniers. Think that’s the famous quote isn’t it? if Shishkin and Abacadabras win tomorrow you might not see me on here again!!!
Every single winner of the Fred Winter so far either came from France or ran on the flat. Balko Saint backers beware!
Another stat I couldn't get my head around. Most of the winning horses of the races have 4 legs, and their ears are definitely almost always pricked coming to the last fence/hurdle ( the race day commentator will likely point out the pricking of the ears, signifiying to the watching public that the horse is most definitely enjoying this occasion of all occasions)
