I don't think I've read that. I've got a few of his though, on the history of tactics, and on Argentinian and Eastern/Central European football.
I believed deep down we were going to win but there was still just that little bit of doubt about how Sunderland like to kick the fans in the balls. Over the last few weeks that bit of doubt has got smaller and smaller. Under normal circumstances I’d be expecting another kick to the nads on Wednesday but I think this is the new Sunderland where we go on winning runs and we win those all important games. haway the lads - you fantastic bastards.
I was just going to post something similar about O'Brien, we missed his running between their lines and dragging their defenders out of position with his movement. Wyke had little or no support and their centre backs just managed him between the two of them.
Defenders know O'Brien has to be marked whether the ball is in the air or on the ground and he's quick for a big man. The endless decoy runs he makes are vital, to our game, but can make him look like a headless chicken. Johnson keeps picking him though, so that'll do me.
Tomorrow or the next day we'll focus on Accrington. Aye, only give them half a day off. We've got a league to win.
the stream i watched...when wyke came to the touchline for treatment facing away from the camera so his name and number where on display, the commentator called him 'pyke'...
Good interview. Yesterday you could see the team spirit from the lads that didn't play such as Sanderson and AOB when they realised the cameras were on them. They could've just kept a straight face and sat their arses down but no they joined in with the occasion. It says a lot of how the team is especially from Sanderson who's only here in loan - love to see him sign up to stay on but the team is really together, fighting for each other and not giving up and you have to thank LJ and his team for that along with some input from Speakman and KLD to some extent - long may it continue!
For an EFL1 club we still get under the Geordie Nations skins for some reason. At long last we've won at Wembley, it was great to see and it was won with a very good goal. Lovely pass and a lovely finish just such a shame there was no one there to see it. Let's hope we are back there again soon and winning again and I don't mean in the bloody play-offs. We need to finish top two and go up without the stress the play-offs bring. Ha'Way The Lads for Wednesday, let's keep winning.
I've spent some time thinking back over past Wembley games, cup finals, internationals, etc ... ... and I really can't think of a better pass than McGeady's yesterday. There I've said it.
