I think it is the same as the whole ball having to be past the line for a goal to be scored. So if you were to view that corner from a birdseye view you would see that the ball is in fact "touching" the line. Besides, 3 cm isn't going to make a difference
Yeah, as long as the ball is "overhanging" the quadrant it's fine. You'd need a better angle to determine that.
That’s exactly what I’ve been complaining about .... it’s for every one of their corners. Either there is a rule or not?
I'm surprised we haven't seen a Lallana Land / JWP midfield battle yet. Important half time team talk from Ralph. Tella needs to get in the game or we'll see Redmond around 60 minutes. Also, whilst Armstrong is having a decent game, some of his passes in defence are a bit frightening. Credit to Brighton though. Like us, they generally play football in an entertaining way and don't deserve to be anywhere near a relegation battle. We've still got this I think.
One of the differences between Diallo running the ball out, compared to Romeu, is that Diallo doesn’t leave a trail of bodies behind him. Love seeing him do that. I would like to Armstrong get on the ball more often in the advanced areas, where he can create something, but credit to Brighton for the way they are charging down every shot, except for the weak ones that have trickled through to the keeper.
Strong team and played well in patches during the first half. It looks like we may get more opportunities, so hopefully we can take them. Please don't keep leaving large pockets of space between defence and midfield - I think this is where we miss Romeu, albeit Diallo's forward passing is great.
Always the case when an ex manager suddenly pops out of nowhere to be a pundit. Probably has an eye on Sheffield United.
I was thinking they might feel some dread at that, but looking at the odds, he is probably the best option of the front runners.
