Mark Creehan should continue his great form in the first at lingfield on Merry secret just got 7/4 with hills which seems fair enough

    Warwick 3.12 Land Of Winter

Trainer Rae Guest does well with his small string of jumpers this season

    6 runs 1 win 3 placed P/L 2.50

The horse has won a class 3 over 1 m 6 f in testing conditions at Nottingham last autumn and ran a promising race when back hurdling at Huntington 2 runs ago (4th). Best run over hurdles was at this time a year ago when 2nd in a maiden. Tonge strap on first time could have a positive effect. At 14/1 on offer this looks worth a small each way bet.

With Cheltenham only two days away now, here's a clip some of you may have already watched. It is Envoi Allen's point to point success, with Appreciate It finsining third. This point win was run at Ballinaboola in February 2018.

    FLASHJACK 20/1 Warwick 4:15
First the warning. This is a nice little handicap with horses with potential and some in super form.
Now the reasoning. Flashjack loves Warwick and is dual c&d winner. His only loss here was off a much higher mark.
He has been running in class 2s and a class 1 but now his mark has dropped a few pounds below his last c&d win lo and behold he drops into class 3.
His latest run was in bottomless ground but today's conditions should be perfect.
I simply think he is way overpriced

Royal Pagaille officially goes for the Gold Cup.
Big and bold call, good luck to them.

J'Ai Froid 5/1 for me in this. Thought the price was pretty generous and hasn't really put a foot wrong since coming back from an absence. A run to blow away the cobwebs then 3 wins on the bounce. The wins will end at some point but i'm hoping not today. I've also backed Ace Ventura in the 4:50 at 7s. Hoping its good to go after its run out last time and the race looks pretty poor. Win singles and win double.

Have also backed the Daly horse in the bumper ew at 16s.

And over in Ireland i've back the bottom weight Lean Araig ew 6 places with William Hills. Price boosted to 27.63/1

    Good luck with yours mate

Cheers mate, good luck with yours too. J'ai Froid has been a revelation since the addition of headgear and could still have plenty more to come, one of the big dangers.
That's a decent looking bumper and the two that are penalised could both be horses that follow up even with the penalty. I have backed the Henderson/MPR horse but will certainly want to see money for it.

I think it's the correct decision. There's nothing classy in the race as such, they might as well find out if he's good enough in the big one, my main concern now would be his effectiveness on the track at Cheltenham, it will be a far cry from the flat straights of Kempton and Haydock. He adds the extra bit of dynamism the race was lacking, we know the likes of Al Boum Photo, Native River, Frodon and Kemboy have big hearts and good engines, but Royal Pagaille potentially has that class that you like to see. I think himself, Champ and A Plus Tard's inclusion has made this years running a very exciting prospect. I have been mostly underwhelmed by recent runnings, but it's a race I am looking forward to once again this year.

Al Boum Photo surely won't do three in a row, will he...

I put a post up re the news PG goes for the race on the Cheltenham Gold Cup thread. My main concern is he doesn't get very high at his fences and his form is on flat/speedier tracks. Not one for me but like fact he is entered for extra intrigue in the race..

The last at lingfield rank outsider Dame denali 70s in places flew around c/d last march taking 2nd . They have tried everything to get this 4yold of the mark since to no avail . The race has to many question marks to be backing low odds , i know its a big ask but if they can bring the form from a year ago the bookmakers will regret the pricing . Ew

Lean Araig fell at the first. The bumper horse was shocking. Ace Ventura ran well and finished 3rd (no good for me today) and i'd be still interested in it next time out. Day saved by J'Ai Froid. I'll keep going with this one, although i'm not sure how much longer they'll keep being generous with the price.
