Missed the break and zero chance after.
Not in the Lincoln and anyway I think he is an AW horse. Next time.

Can't fathom that last race - Flirtatious gets 4lb from the fav, to overturn a 3.5l beating, and thrashes Rainy by about 20 lengths. That's racing I suppose. Onwards and hopefully upwards ------ Juan Les Pins a pinsticker selection next :)

Gars De Sceaux at Navan in the 3.20 @ 5/2. Could be more useful than the more exposed types he faces here and it is a weak looking race.

I question my sanity sometimes - despite JLP having the plum draw at Wolves, I knew he was a slow starter, and yet I still decided to risk a shilling on him!

I'll add my choice in the next at Sandown in the same category - - - Up The Straight now looks a feeble selection!

Just beautiful. Wins hard held and looks an exciting prospect.

    16:55 Ayr - Pistol Park

(Lot of weight to carry in the ground conditions. Has not won since 2018 but has the beating of this lot, if he can just show some of his decent old form. Best price at time of writing, 7/2 with PP.) Brian Hughes rides for trainer Ellison.

Race of the day either side of the pond up next, another weak looking event at that even. The one I'm with is Any Second Now @ 11/2. Ted Walsh has made an absolute balls of this talented horses career but this looks a good opportunity dropping back to the minimum trip.

    Absolutely splendiferous. Another winner.

Any Second Now was backed off the boards and was sent off at 3/1. Halved in price by the time I posted and checked back on the off. Ted Walsh happy to deliver 3 or 4 gambles every 10 races with a horse that could have been top notch, one part of that really annoys me, but another also understands it.

That all reads good and well, but then the realisation hits that it's Venetia Williams and Cheltenham, and not Hereford on Heavy/Heavy ground.
