FRERO BANBOU 100/30 Sandown 3;40 Getting this up early as I suspect the price wont last the evening. Typical Venetia Williams type who will benefit from having a wind op recently. Yard in form and jockey riding really well. I expect it to go off favourite and win.
Fact Flow 435 leicester, dai burchell tries again with this now 12 year old , however he knows how to win , has run well this season , and is a sporting bet for me , 6/1
Leicester 4.05 K'Chou Du Pecos AA Cost 140,000Eur at 2017 Derby Sales in france and obviously didn't lived up to expectations for Willie Mullins and Mr.Magnier in Ireland but last time keeping on 3rd on debut over fences over 1 m 7 f was promising. Upped in trip today and with Alex Edwards taking off 3lb the horse looks to have a really good chance. Yard's horses in the money last 14 days (1 winner, 4 placed from 9 runs).
Lingfield 12:30 El Savalje Unsuited by a slowly run race at Kempton last time when supported in the market. Luke Morris back in the saddle ( horse form 36219 under this jockey). Entered in a class 4 over 1 m 6 f at Wolverhampton on monday so connections seem to have faith that a step up in trip from 1 m 2 f will suit and that the horse is good enough for more than todays class 5. First time cheekpieces today could have a positive effect too.
I wouldn’t put anyone off backing Doitforthevillage in the concluding novices handicap hurdle at Sandown. Has last 3 runs have all been over fences at Sandown and read: won (off a mark of 121), fourth (off 123) and second (off 123) and today he goes off a revised hurdle mark of 105. That is down a whopping 10lbs from his last run over hurdles in Nov 2019 but his recent efforts over fences show that he retains both enthusiasm and ability. Around the 9/1 mark.
Interesting. Last Feb he clocked a C&D win in a faster time than any of these, beating Zhui Feng by 1l and is 2lb worse of today. On that basis, the difference in their prices looks way overdone. Although the fastest of those who have raced over C&D it has to be said that Going Places was not far behind on the clock and won his race easily. Not sure what to make of his subsequent run at Kempton where Starshiba comprehensibly reversed the Lingfield form. The Lingfield run was after a 327 days break and he carries 3lb less today as opposed to Goring who carries 7lb more than when he clocked the fastest C&D. Goring's latest 2 (uninspiring ) runs followed a 243 days break Can't see Goring winning but he doesn't look like a forlorn 50/1 shot
Great shout stick 'the bookie's even proved right in finishing up fav Actually just seen the drift, what a bonus
Cheers fellas, at this rate Nass might give me a mention in The Week That Was. Shine taken off the victory by the horrible fall of Monsieur Darque. When will they ever abolish water jumps in steeplechasing? They are a totally unfair inclusion in races as the horse cannot see what is on the other side.
