I wrote an article about this the other week questioning Traps' comments about himbeing lazy and just thought "has even ****ing watched him play this season?" i'm still being won over by him at present but the one thing i will certainly not deny is his workrate for the side. he never stops running the channels and fights for everything in the air. he's pretty usful at winning knockdowns although his headed shots could be better. i remember the fulham game and he was consistently beating hangaland in the air which really surprised me.

This. Best has been impressive this season. Possibly even more so than last. Works his socks off for the team. He's anything but lazy.

To be fair though I'd agree with Trappatoni on his previous showings. Up until this season the lad was lazy as ****. Wouldn't run channels, wouldn't peel wide, seemd uninterested in being in a partnership and just stayed central. There was another thread about what he could be worth and we were discussing how he has managed to change something not many footballers manage to, workrate. Won't go into the rest but the top and bottom being we're all impressed with his efforts now. Trappatoni, quite rightly, wants to see him do it over an extended period. We know he likes him so he'll get his chance if he keeps working hard. To be honest that is the way it should be.

This. Best and Ba are both dominating centre backs who are bigger than them; Hangeland as you mentioned, and even Samba and Dann.

  6. Best is an excellent player in the air, considering he's 6ft 1. That's tall but it's not like Andy Carroll 6ft 4 inches tall. He beats players in the air that are bigger than him.

Ba isn't that great at winning things in the air from goal kicks, but he's good enough to trouble most CB's when it comes to heading on goal.

I'd say Best is slight more powerful than Ba, but Ba is more clinical.

I love haters gonna hate <laugh>

As for Leon Best, i doubted him but he's proved to have good positioning, finishing, link up play and is unassumingly strong.

**** the Best Haters. That's all I'm gonna say. He's also a nice baller you know. He gets the money, he gets the goals and he gets ratings. Watch him blow this season.
