Take that all day long. Shame the clean sheet got away, but three points, and we continue to slowly gather momentum.
    Rest easy guys, job done.

I was nervy throughout (hence no posts <laugh>) but delighted with the win.

Goals aside, I was impressed with Conor Washington. Held the ball up well and made some good runs in behind. More please!

Stating the obvious here, but I much prefer Gunter at right back to centre half.

Pratley and Pearce looks like an ok makeshift centre half combination.

BOWYER OUT. That donut May is not a happy man tonight. Two wins and one draw out of the last three. BOWYER In. The Under 23s won 5-1 tonight against Eastbourne Borough.

Reams and Royston are both frustrated that Charlton's results have improved, thus weakening their argument for wanting him fired. They now want Charlton to lose games and slip down to mid-table, so they can take credit for being 'right all along' if Bowyer was to lose his job.

I concluded a while ago that Lee Bowyer's time as Charlton manager was coming to and end. Not because I dislike him as they do, but because I believed a post by Angeldust on ITTV where he said Bowyer was in conflict with Ged Roddy about training methods, and that this conflict was dividing and destabilising the dressing room.
Some time has gone by since Angeldust made that claim, and no evidence for it has emerged. I'm ready to admit it's looking like I was wrong to subscribe to it. All I can say in my defence is that it seemed logical to me at the time.

Reams denies that he wants Bowyer gone because he doesn't like him, but only yesterday he called LB a 'total bell-end' when the team sheet came out, and posted 'Bowyer out' repeatedly in the match thread, once after the full time whistle had gone. Then later he joined Royston in mocking Charlton fans who were actually happy that we won and have taken 7 points from a possible 9.

That is not the attitude of a fan who does not dislike Bowyer and just wants him sacked because of poor results and performances. It's the petulance of somebody who is determined that Bowyer be discredited and sacked regardless of how well the team does on the pitch.
We know for a fact that Reams will still be calling for Bowyer to be sacked even if Charlton go to Wembley and win another Play-off Final this season. And he'll continue to undermine Thomas Sandgaard until Charlton appoint a manager that he (reams) approves of.

Our Club has been delivered from imminent closure.
But the man who saved it won't get any respect from a few fans who - unbelievably - think he owes them something.

Excellent post @lardiman I really don't understand why a Charlton fan would want Charlton to lose just to prove that your agenda is right. I too thought that another Manager would do a better job but I am delighted that Bowyer is starting to prove me wrong. May said that our Season is over yet we sit one point off a play off place. Admittedly we have played more games but winning becomes a habit. Ryan Innes will be back soon and Famewo, most of the squad are fit and there seems to be a fight about us, which is good to see.

Haven't looked over there for ages, if anyone wants to make fools of themselves that's up to them. I seem to remember Dick warning us that Angeldust is a fraud. I enjoyed the win, and the wholehearted efforts of the players, even though it was a scrappy game. Washington deserves his goals for the shift he puts in.

@Dick Plumb1 did warn us that Angeldust is a fraud.
I had not put any faith in Angeldust's cryptic and rather annoying posts on ITTV in the days before Thomas Sandgaard took over, or further back when ESI bought the Club for £1 from Roland.
However, in his recent post regarding Bowyer and Roddy, Angeldust was more specific. I thought at the time that his story had logic to it, and did seem to explain the (then) ongoing slump in Charlton's form and the lack of fight being shown during games.
Looking back, I seem to have been too willing to accept Angeldust's post.
I'm not even sure now that he is wrong, but I think more would have emerged to back his notion up by now if it was correct.

I thought Reams would of been knocking the white lightning back in the Wrexham covered end by now ? And at least be a little happier that his new team beat Barnet 0-2 last night

P.S have they even got a “covered end” ?

Angel dust was wrong. It all started from a post on Facebook. We all know how unreliable that is.Anybody can post what they like on Social Media and some people will accept it as the truth.

Angeldust is wrong Lardi <ok> .... Roddy is there to help LB and Roddy and LB have a good working relationship .... yes LB's telephone discussions with the Great Dane are now not daily but this is part of the excessive workload that LB has now passed to Roddy allowing LB to just manage the first team..... notice I did not say coach, LB is Charlton's MANAGER!
