According to Sky he was just in the right place and the keeper made it easy for him .... ... ffs, it was the best finish I've seen in the last three seasons.
Is it time for the wall of shame yet.... OK go on then Ye of little faith - SHAME ON YOU @Wooperts_duck has an excuse but the rest
He is different class and if the muppets at sky cat see it they need putting down. He was superb today.
Ironically reminded me of SKP chip at St James Park....good job the mags keeper was so 'poor' then eh!?
Didn’t on this occasion but on the past I’ve voted for us to lose to bring us luck. Mad as that sounds. Which it is
Chips always make the keeper look foolish, doesn't mean they actually did anything wrong. Bloody difficult to pull off too, great goal.
I bit my tongue for ages about SKP and it hurt me to have to call him out ... ... but Joey Barton would be more positive ffs. I understand all about balance but he's relentlessly negative about us. Some of the things he says are actually stupid, no wonder he can't get a job in football.
First time for ages we been playing one of the better teams in the league, winning 2-0, I look at the clock and there's still half an hour to go BUT strangely I feel very confident
Huge result that Pompey are a right bunch of diving knackers mind. Ref gave them 22 fouls to our 11. We don’t make it up when we bang on about the amount of soft FKs that go against us. These days it just seems to be which player falls over first
The commentators did say it at the end but all through the game they were hedging their bets thinking Pompey might get back in it, despite being nowhere near posing a threat.
I felt we'd win as soon as Wyke scored tbh. If they'd scored I felt we could step it up a gear ... ... against Rochdale, and now Portsmouth, Johnson has calmed it down and done just enough to win. I think that's wise. If we'd scored 5 or 6 on Saturday the players might've thought they'd cracked it and relaxed too much.
I know a few people don’t like admitting it, but we are a much better side without Leadbitter. I must admit I’ve criticised Winchester as I couldn’t understand what he brought to the side, but he’s looked brilliant the last few games.
I loved the bloke as a player but christ almighty his online comments could be done by a ten year old. And I do t think it was a penalty either. Ball and player but clearly ball.
He’s opened my eyes, sometimes players just need a few games to get settled in the side and get the tempo and playing style of the team. Winchester is starting to look like part of that team.
