I thought he was praising O’Nien for a block at the other end. He kept saying set pieces at either end they weren’t getting right

We were class. Nuff said. If LJ can command this level of performance we can get promoted automatically. If we do, with the current ownership/leadership we can grow. Im excited!!!!<party>

David Prutton seems to have a built in hate for us. I used to put his predictions in the match thread and he always went for the other team <doh>
I think the SKY staff are closet Mag fans - they did have a few there when I worked at the head office <laugh>
To be fair the commentators did say we played really well and brilliant performance from the whole team.

I think Winchester and Scowen were excellent in the middle, they won just about every second ball, broke their play up and hardly wasted a ball.

I actually dont think Portsmouth were that bad. Certainly not the worst team we have played. They carried a threat out wide and did put some decent balls into the box. They defended better than I thought they would too. It was much more the case that we had more about us both in and out of possession. It was a case of a side in complete control of their game, with better players, doing a professional job.

In the spirit of some balance we got a break with the McGeady foul that wasnt given. The ref had a bit of a shocker tonight and that was a howler. When you are on a roll you earn a bit of luck though.

Just said to Mrs B, I can’t remember the last time I saw a Sunderland player finish like that. You could see he made allowances for the keeper and chipped the ball accordingly. Overall, considering the opposition that was probably the best Sunderland performance I can remember from the last two seasons. Looks like we could be peaking at just the right time.

That Marquis dive in the box was ****ing embarrassing!

That was like men against boys. Bossed every single department. I think LJ's found his first eleven.

I was really impressed with the way we knocked it around. They were chasing shadows, couldn't handle Geads or Jones. Winchester and Scowen ran the midfield and Luke and Dion had their front 2 in their pockets.

After a performance like that, I'm left wondering just where O'Nien's best position is. He was absolutely majestic tonight.

Every single one of our players can come away with their heads held high after that performance. Liked the way McFad linked up with Geads too.

We were simply a joy to watch. Well done Lads. Now enjoy your day out at Wembley!

I think by trying to be seen as un biased, skp is going too far the other way

That's my take on it anyway
