Quite well, thank you.I said good by to the wife last week at the veterans cemetery at Camp Nelson,Kentucky. Two naval officers guarded the coffin and flag, soldiers fired 3 volleys, another played last post and another played a piece on a harmonica. Turned out to be very nice. When the officer went down on one knee and gave me her flag,I lost it and cried my head off!!My church minister gave the sermon and a good one too. I wishedit could have been recorded. She would have loved it.....but I suspect, maybe, she was looking down.........
Love you smithy mate :emoticon-0152-heart

I just think we've left ourselves too much to do. All those stupid bloody dropped points. If we didn't have EL to contend with, I'd be more hopeful but...I think United and Leicester are just out of reach, while Chelsea are on a formidable run - unbeaten in 9 and just 2 goals conceded. Add to that we'd need West Ham, Everton, Liverpool and Villa to all either equal or fall short of our points haul in the run-in...it's a really tall order.
It's tough but if we win our game in hand we are only 6 points behind Utd. We need to be almost unbeatable in the run in (v unlikely) and if we are I can see us finishing above Leicester and West Ham. Leicester have been iffy recently and West Ham should get a nose bleed soon.

My concern with Leicester and West Ham is that they only have the league to worry about now. It was an enormous factor in Leicester's title winning season. Whereas their rivals (including us) were playing 2 games a week well into March, they had a week's rest between each fixture. It allowed Ranieri to play his strongest XI pretty much every week. West Ham are also playing with zero pressure. They've had no booing fans for over a year, no relegation fight for the first time in ages, and really anything they do from now is seen as a massive bonus. They are playing with that freedom, and it shows.

Tis a crazy season in which Liverpool who don't lose at Anfield for ages then go and lose 6 on the trot.
Anything can happen and look at some of the fixtures. Leicester still need to play WH, 2 Manchester clubs and Chelsea as well as us last day of the season

Been with Mrs RCL 25 year come September. If she thought half these things about me I'd feel I did good.
That's a beautiful funeral you gave your wife...thanks for sharing it.

Stay strong mate...and feel free to share more lovely posts and take care

They clearly need a Plan B. <whistle>

No offence to the bloke, but he's not Guardiola, MK Dons aren't City and I criticise them for not having a Plan B, so he should expect it, too.
The Bald Fraud can get away with it, to some extent, as he can just keep chucking £50m players at the problem.
Martin doesn't have that luxury, won't be given as much patience and doesn't have enormous resources to fall back on.
Sometimes "trying to pass it into the net" doesn't work and you need to do something else.

Having an overall style of play and a commitment to entertaining, attacking football is admirable.
I'd much rather have that than a pragmatic, defensive, dour manager, a la Allardyce.
There's a reason why people keep hiring the bloke, though.
Horses for courses. Sometimes you can't pick the lock and you just have to boot the bloody door in.

They lost to The Gills last week having had 78% possession and after scoring an opening goal where they kept the ball for over 50 passes before scoring it was a beautiful goal. Gills won 3-2 scored a penalty, one from a terrible defensive error and one from a long throw.

By all accounts they were better the side in every aspect bar one - unfortunately that's the one that meant that The Gills got 3 pts and MK Dons none.

You accept that as MK Dons, though. He's only been there since November and he's trying to get them playing a new way.
As long as they don't go down, then having a coach playing attractive stuff with a young team is acceptable.
If they keep outplaying teams, then the results will come in time. Will they be that patient? Remains to be seen.

That sounds like a good send off Smithy, I have lost 1 close friend and 2 relatives over the last year and not been allowed to attend any of them, watching on line is not a way to say goodbye to loved ones
Take care Smithy

I genuinely can not remember the last time Penited won a game without the help of a penalty kick. No pen = No win, where Penited are concerned.
